No not necessarily and definitely Not always. A diuretic helps to get rid of more water from the system but in the process will also get rid of some electrolytes. First of all, there are so many reasons for 'bloating' including simple reduced activity causing both leg swelling which is postural, a very low albumin level a protein exclusively synthesised in liver not synthesised in sufficient amounts when people are 'ill' causing swelling since fluid leaves the vessel compartment out into the extra vascular space, a failure of the kidneys to excrete water normally ie; kidney impairment, a blockage to the normal lyphatic flow within lympahtic channels similar to blood vessels because of blockage to usual traffic because of any pathology et; SO first of all we should find the reason for bloating in the individual and then only after excluding a serious problem one may be allowed to take a diuretic BUT provided a regular check at the level of electrolytes including potassium and sodium which may go low enough to influence normal health. In simple terms diuretics are NOT harmless as they are projected and used and most of the times it is important to treat the CAUSE of bloating rarther than bloating itself. When treatable conditions are excluded a very low dose of diuretic only with a doctor's advice can be used with no significant harm. To answer your question directly No it is not Good; may be helpful, may be harmful if used without a doctor's consultation. I hope my answer was helpful.

Diaretics are always good for use when you are retaining water. Just make surer that you talk with your doctor and discuss if taking a medication for water retention and bloating is right for you. Also, if you are talking about monthly bloating there is a diaretic in a lot of over the counter medications Such as Midol.
