I can not tell you how happy I am to hear this. My 14 month old has her top 2 and bottom 2 but nothing else. I asked my pediatrician and she said it alright. Most kids have about 8 teeth by the time they are 18 months but if not they tend to come in shortly there after.

The later they get their baby teeth the later they should get their adult teeth. Is it "normal" no but it is not a bad. My first child only had 4 teeth by 17 months.

yes it is normal some kids get teeth early and some get them slowly, the slower it is the better as the pain reduces ,at a very young stage when they cut a tooth it pains allot .in many cultures there is a belief if your child teeth's late they'll be with him till the end of life....
WELL have you ever in your life seen any person or 5 years old without teeth I'm sure you would have not so be relieved sooner or later they will come....and whenever they come its going to be healthy

My daughter was 16 months old before she got her FIRST tooth. My doctor told me that the older they are when they get their teeth, the better they are.

This is absolutely normal. And even when you feel a tooth coming in, sometimes they can retreat back. My neiced had her first tooth come in when she was just over 2 months old. But my nephew's didn't come in until he was about 15 months old. It just varies. They'll come in eventually. Best of luck!
