You will know when you are ready, thats exactly how long my fiance and I waited, you just need to make sure you are at the right place in your life ( financially and emotionally ) and its what both of you want... good luck... I hear girls are easier then boys and it iss true with my experiences!!!

the best time to have a baby is when you know you will have the time and energy and are healty enough to have one and can afford to have one.
You can know a person and have been with them for years and years and it wont make any difference in what kind of parent they would make. In deciding if the other person would make a good parent you should make sure they are responsible for one and that they are patient and like kids and that they want to have a baby just as much as you.
Cons of having a baby. you dont have the same freedom, you wont have the same amout of money to spend on yourself, your house must be suitable for children, if you are the woman having the baby it can change your body , you cant decide what kind of baby you get. could end up with a horrible kid
Cons of being a baby . You could get stuck with horrible parents, you have to eat what you are told to eat. You cant do what you want to do. Diaper rash
Pros of having a baby, having a tiny little one that you made in your arms to love and watch grow. With patience and understanding you just might have a wonderful child that grows up to be a wonderful adult. grandkids which are my favorite.
Pros of being a baby. Sleep all day, get fed, dont have to work . everyone loves you . and no matter how ugly you are you are still cute to everyone.

I would say both sexes are just as easy and difficult . little girls when changing diapers there is more spots to clean but little boys will sometimes pee on you. little girls are not as ruff in play while growing up than boys. little girls when they are bigger girls you have to keep from getting pregnant and little boys growing you have to make sure that they arent the ones out there getting the little girls pregnant. There are +'s and -'s in both sexes but the real + about girls are when they are grown and have babies if something happens in thier relationship you dont end up loosing your grandkids and with boys most of the time you do or at least you loose part of the time that you get with them.
I am a girl and I was pretty easy to raise at least I think I was . I have 3 boys and 2 were really easy to raise and one was easy when he was small but now as an adult its a whole different story.

Cons:

Less disposable income, less free time, more mortgage debt (need a bigger house), bigger car loan (no more civics), less retirement savings, no more care free days, no time to relax and reflect on the past, more trips to the grocery store (diapers, formula, etc), less money for traveling, no more paying your bills the same day they come in the mail etc.

Pro:

Someone to take of you in old age. However ,there is no promise for that. The child could not have the time nor resources to take care of you, might die before you, live in a different state.

Like the old saying goes nothing in life is promised with the exception of death and taxes.

I don't think anyone but you can answer this question...Only you know when a good time to bring a child into the world is.

As for co-parenting...That depends on the other parent...My fiance and I have only been together a year, And just gave birth to our baby girl Thursday,And he's great w/her.

What the hell is "co-parent"? Why can't you yanks learn to speak English? Do you mean stick one up her?

Neither is easier than the other, both are challenging, but very rewarding.
