I chose the religion I'm in, but it comes from God. There is true religion and false.
A recent tabulation concluded that there are 10 main religions and some 10,000 sects. Of these, some 6,000 exist in Africa, 1,200 in the United States, and hundreds in other lands.
Many factors have contributed to the development of new religious groups. Some have said that the various religions all represent different ways of presenting religious truth. But a comparison of their teachings and practices with the Bible indicates, rather, that the diversity of religions is because people have become followers of men instead of listening to God. It is noteworthy that, to a large extent, teachings they hold in common, but that differ from the Bible, originated in ancient Babylon.
Who is the instigator of such religious confusion? The Bible identifies Satan the Devil as “the god of this system of things.” (2 Cor. 4:4) It warns us that “the things which the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God.” (1 Cor. 10:20) How vitally important, then, to make sure that we really are worshiping the true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, and that our worship is pleasing to him!

I don't have a religion, I have a relationship with God. So I guess you can say I was chosen by Him.

Religion is Man-made.
Mohammad invented Islam.
Jesus started no religion...his teachings is the basis of good living. Loving God and loving each other is not a religion; many folks who call themselves Christians do not practice the teachings of Christ.

My religion was chosen for me initially by my parents, but it was my choice completely to embrace and learn more about that religion. Whether I can ever actually understand it, though, is something else entirely.

sure, most of the time. although, many are not constructive precisely what faith that that they had belong to, they only keep in mind that they position self assurance in god and are attracted to getting to understand diverse religions to discover one which matches their beliefs. some human beings have beliefs that fall less than diverse religions. Its completely regularly occurring and alright to be that way. for my area, its large even as someone can relate to larger than only one faith because it facilitates them comprehend the factors of view of a higher variety of human beings, and it shows that they are keen to compromise, and they don't look so set on their beliefs that they now not can comprehend others.
