I try to eat good and stay active, but there has always been a lingering question in my mind. Is water really effective in helping me lose weight. Thank you.

Absolutely...water is the bodys best thirst quencher..is free from calories, gives you a feeling of fullness before you have the chance to overeat, and it flushes out your system. Ideally you should be drinking 64 ounces of water a day. You can always flavor it with lemon or lime juice to take away the bland taste. Also, if you are drinking water while working out, room temperature water is best. Ice water tends to cause cramping of the muscles.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Theoretically, yes, but it's not practical.

Sure, if you drink cold water, the body will burn fat to heat it up.

However, I remember 2 years ago, in chemistry class, where the professor proved that it'll take like 500 glasses of water to lose a significant amount of wate.

Now, you'll certainly lose a lot of weight running to the bathroom!

Water is essentially nature's elixir. It is good for flushing out your system - both of foreign bodies, waste, and some fats. So yes, water does help in the weight loss process. However, being active and eating well are much more effective than water alone.

Yes, as long as you don't drink too little or too much. Optimum is between 8-12 glasses (8 oz) a day. If you drink too little, there are a host of problems but mainly (weight wise) you don't wash out enough salt and it causes you to retain water. If you drink too much, you wash all the nutrients out of your system and can actually do more harm than good.

One of the benefits of drinking water is that it can make you feel full, therefore less likely to overeat. Just don't overdo it.
