Sylvan is really expensive and only has certain subjects. You can do a lot of different curriculum's but your parents will need to be involved on some level. Why can't they do it? Is it time or what?

MINDsprinting has a great reading and math curriculum and it's not as expensive as Sylvan. I work with them and I really enjoy the curriculum (I was homeschooled).

It depends on the laws where you live. I don't believe sylvan can do it and if they could it would be expensive. A more important question might be why do you want to be homeschooled.

It depends on the laws where you live. Go to your state department of education's website and find their homeschooling information. If you are unsuccessful there, go to your local board of education and ask for the correct procedures. Many times you have to register with a "cover school" (basically, a place where you enroll but don't attend, do your schooling at home, and report attendence and grades to the cover school), others you just have to report grades and attendence to your local board of educatin.

No matter what the laws, there are homeschool "support groups" that can help immensely in the entire process.

You can homeschool yourself by way of videos, etc. You just need your parents to support you and help you when you need it. Also, there is plenty of info out there to help you if you get in a jam and your parent's can't help you. Bob Jones University has a program called HomeSat for distance learning via satellite or DVD. Some friends of mine use it to homeschool their 3 kids, and they love it. The link is http://www.bjupress.com/services/bjhomesat/

There are many other ways as well. Search the word "homeschool" and your state, and you'll get tons of links.

Don't drop out of school
Go back to school, if you have too much history, change school districts. Whatever problems you have had in public school, you will have them in private school or home school.
Work with you counselors, teachers, and principals. You are only this age once, if your smart enough to come up with ways of avoiding your problem, you are smart enough to deal with it directly. It may not be pretty, it may be a little humiliating but return to school
Dropping out and hiding at home is not a good option for you

Depends upon your grade. If high school, there are a few schools like American School and Keystone. IT is a comination of books and online work but a teacher is available via email, phone etc.

I used Clonlara's online highschool called "compuhigh." I graduated from Clonlara 6 years ago, but I know they still have the compuhigh program and I'm sure it's far more developed now than I was when I used it.
