Ive had a date with a guy and he is coming to my house in the week for lasagne and a dvd. I know him thru a friend so im sure he is no nutter when he gets to my house should i open it and walk off leaving him to make his own way into the house shout come in or open it and give him a hug or a kiss. Im **** with this sort of thing

The same way you would greet a friend coming to your house for the first time.
A warm hello, maybe a hug (if it feels right) hold the door, come in to my home. I'm so glad your here. Let me show you around, introduce the pets, the bathroom, the kitchen where you will be eating, the living room where we will fall over full of food, kick off our shoes and watch a Movie and eat ice cream and pet the cat and talk about life as a whole. If its not too late, perhaps we will go for coffee if things are going well.
If your lucky a good night kiss and a "yes" for the next date next Friday!
I actually said that enitire monoluage to one date and he laughed the whole way through it. We had such a great time. He knew exactly what was expected or not expected of him that night.
The next time he came over the last item was coffee and a newspaper over breakfast.

I've been in this sort of situation myself recently and it's not easy. To be honest, as you don't know him that well, it might be a little to up front to his him as soon as you open the door. Personaly I would answer the door, hold it open whilst he walks through, then show him to the room where you will be eating. You never know, but there will probably be plenty of time for kissing later on in the evening!

Don't be so self-conscious and don't even think about it in advance. Just do what comes into your head at the moment, otherwise you will seem stiff and rehearsed and artificial. Everyone has to go through awkward moments in their lives....just make a joke, smile, kiss or don't kiss, and say: "Come on in, nice to see you! To see you, NICE!"
Nobody really cares, you know....you are building tiny details up in your imagination into insurmountable problems. Relax! Enjoy! Smile!

open the door say come in and show him where to go and sit.
have some music or a comedy film on if you havent finished cooking and offer him a drink.
remember he will probably be nervous too
