I dont know that its a very wise bet. You are only supposed to stay in a hot tub for 10 - 15 mins! He could put his health at risk!

It's almost impossibe to stay in a hot tub for 24 hours unless you want to commit sucide. After being in a hot tub for so long that you body will get so over heated and it will be very hard to get back to 98.6 degrees. Besides if he's cute he wouldn't get a girl for a long time because he would be prunied. If he does end up doing this make sure that there is someone there at all times making sure he's alright. :)

That is actually quite dangerous. Nobody should stay in a hot tub for more than 15 minutes.
"Soaking for too long in elevated water temperatures can raise body heat to hazardous levels. The National Spa and Pool Institute considers 104° F to be the maximum safe water temperature for adults, and modern spas are normally set at the factory not to exceed that limit.
A safe soaking time should not exceed 15 minutes. Some medical authorities have recommended a lower maximum temperature of 100° to 102° F. They advise that since infants and children are more sensitive to heat, they should be exposed to water of not more than 95° F, for no more than 10 minutes. Consult with your family doctor."

I wouldnt do that.. even if it was a bet, because all of his skin could peel, and when it peels the underlayers would get really hot from the hot tub. also, no one should stay in a hot tub for that long amount of time because they could dehydrate, what if your friend ended up hurt really badly? how much u wanna bet you got to pay for the hospital bills?

dude, no person should stay in a hot tub for more than 4 hours. seriously, very dangerous. if youre gonna be one of those people that just does it anyway, make sure you take his temperature at regular intervals, and someone is awake and talking to him at all times. if he shows any signs of stroke or is just acting a little woozy or out of it, get him out. even then... not a good idea.

Only if he continues to drink fluids to replace those he is loosing through perspiration into the tub water. Otherwise he will pass out from dehydration and drown.
Oh, then he wins the bet anyway.

When you go to one in a hotel they have those timers on them next to a sign that says "Caution do not stay in tub for more than 15 minutes."
That makes it kind of unlikely he can stay there for 24 hours without turning into an irreversible prune.

Don't let him do that. It could be extremely dangerous for him. It is quite likely that his core body temperature will become too high. This can result in serious internal injuries and brain damage. Find a different dare that doesn't risk his life.

ummm....YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSSED TO! that's why there's a clock posted at EVERY public hot tub you go to. I forget but you're only suppossed to stay in one of those things for like 5 hours or something! It's bad for you to stay in there longer.
