My ex's friend treats me the way i wish my ex would have treated me, and my parents love him. but every time iam with him i just want and wish it was my ex.how terrible is that? advice plz.

OMG.... i was in the same exact position 2 yrs ago as you are in now
i just kept saying i wanted to be friends with him, and for the longest time we were just friends, but then we hung out all summer and i realized how much i really liked him. My ex bf refused to talk to me and for 2 yrs i wasted my life waiting for him... but once i got over him it just didnt make any sense to stay single when i liked his friend and he liked me back (btw, they are not friends anymore and havent been since my ex bf dumped me) so to sum that all up we are now bf/gf for 3 months and im 10x happier with my bf now than i was with my ex..... so i guess you just have to let time take its course.... i never thought id end up with who im going out wth now

Its not terrible, it is perfectly normal. I can tell that you and your ex recently split up. You need to go through the normal mourning process, you need your space and time to figure out you. That's cool that your ex's friend likes you, but you need to explain to him that if there is any chance of the 2 of you getting together that he needs to back off and give you space. After a while you will get sick of him being so insensitive to your feelings and always hounding you for a date like you are a prize or his piece of meat or something. So explain this to him that you need space and don't want a boyfriend at the moment and that when you do he'll be the first one that you call. Sound simple enough? Maybe even being friends with him may confuse the both of you, so honestly it is probably best that you have some "you" time and time to move on. If he really cares about you he will understand.

1st don't listen to no one or nothing but your heart! If your heart tells u to get back with ur ex, n that's what u want, first have a real conversation with him about what u don't actually like about him. But there is nothing like a man treating yo nice. I wish u the best of luck!

Give Him a Chance... You Never Know... Once You've Tried Dating Someone New... You never know what you have until its gone... thats what I think is happening to you.... I was once in that position, and dated my ex's best friend and we ended up dating for 2 years, give it a try.... maybe your parents love him because they think he is an ideal type of guy for you.

Tell him how you feel, I know how retarded that sounds but really, it might work. Yeah, he might break up with you but really, if you're that miserable, it'd be a good thing because you can go back, ask your ex out, tell HIM how you feel, and maybe he'll treat you right and you'll be happy.

maybe give his friend a chance... you may end up loving this guy more than your ex
and maybe your ex will get a lil sence knocked into him about how he should treat a girl and maybe if you and his friend break up you two can be together again

it will be tempting to bypass back out with him. yet dishonest once wasn't adequate for both one in all you adult males, that he had to bypass and do it a second time? No. you'll not in any respect be able to have self assurance him back, so that you'll not in any respect be able to be in a relationship with him back. life's too short for second possibilities! You get one shot and in case you blow it, then that is it. bypass on to discover someone better.

ok first of all, y is your ex your ex if u still want to be with him, obviously theres a back story there but if this guy really cares about you then i say you give it a shot and try to forget about your ex.
