It's all about the male pride most of the time. The young people of this generation think that look cool means to be a butt basically. What is not true at all but most guys are misslead like that.
Most guys hang around in packs in schools and always trying to look "cool" in front of their friends, that is why some can act like real knobs in school but inside they can be completely different.

It is weird, same thing as when guys trying to show off infront of girls they like and stuff. So, it just depends on who they are with and environment they are in.

Environment influences guy's actions and school environment usual makes guys to look as knobs in big packs or being picked on by those packs, so, they usually chose to be on the side of a pack not on the side of thiose who getting picked on.
Hate that.

Hope that explains a little bit, Wolfy.

I'd unload him asap. If he likes yet another woman and he or she him, WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? Real love does not play video games or have wandering eyes, it is dedicated and rough paintings. You MUST see this as a pink flag, a deal breaker, strike 3. Your younger, i am guessing, you should not also be on account that a SERIOUS courting that's going to intent you lack of confidence. Have a laugh, do not come to be overly invested on this, WHAT? you can not flirt? Move on, the writing is at the wall and it spells predicament. Do your self a want and reduce the fellow unfastened, whether it is destined to be, it'll run it is path and he will be again. But why you might take him again handiest you'll reply.

Some people want to look cool or being the bad guy in school, so they do what they think is gonna help them project this image. Some people do that as they wanna blend in. Whatever their reasons are, most of them are likely to be different when they are outside and far from their school mates!!

It's his age, honey. Guys that age think they have to act cool in front of their buddies. If they catch him acting nice and sweet, they'll give him a hard time about it. And no guy likes that. They have to act tough when their friends around. It's just the male species.

He sounds like he is young and is concerned about his rep. At his age, there is no way to change it, just let him know to check that stuff at the door when he is with you.

Never tell a man to stop being a man, but its not a bad idea to remind him not to "bite the hand that feeds him."

Most guys aren't secure enough in who they are to be themselves all the time. They think they have to maintain their image as being all macho and tough, when at heart they can be a cuddly teddy bear.

Want to appear Macho in front of their friends. And it's something many will always do. Guys are guys, gotta love 'em!

men are afraid to show their compassionate side around the other guys, it doesn't mean they like us any less it just means that they have to maintain a certain level of strangeness around their friends
