I don't think that's true in the USA - people buy a ring according to what they can afford as far as I understand it. Unless you're really rich - you don't buy a really expensive ring. But I don't actually have statistics on it to back it up. If you read the tabloids in the USA - you might get the impression from Hollywood that it has to be in the millions - but the average American - no - it's what's the the heart that counts to the average I believe - again I don't have statistics to prove that - but the average American isn't anything like what Hollywood promotes when you read about the lifestyles of the "stars."

My husband bought my engagement ring at wal-mart for $200; I know it sounds cheap but we don't have a lot of money between us and him spending more would have compromised us paying rent, grocery shopping, etc, since we lived together for 4 years before we got married. Its actually very nice and better than what you would be able to get at an actual jewelery store for the same price.

relies upon what you're going for. My engagement ring became into around $seven hundred, yet my wedding ceremony ring became into approximately $seventy 5. My engagement ring became into one in all those extra modern ring, with diamonds and a center stone, and all that. yet my wedding ceremony ring became right into a puzzle ring, that's an extremely historic variety of wedding ceremony ring. that's seen a attempt of constancy with the aid of fact it falls aside in case you're taking it off. My husband and that i've got matching puzzle rings.
