my lower back right above my bottom hurts real bad what can i do is heat good?

Yes, heat. Moist heat if your heating pad has that. Leave it on for 20, off for an hour, back on for 20. While it's warm, you should stretch...gently. Ibuprofen is good for that. When you lie down, you should either lie on your back with a pillow under your knees or on your side with a pillow between your knees.

Try heat and then sit the right butt cheek on a tennis ball and roll it around holding at the tender areas until release is felt. Remember to breath. Trigger points in glutes often refer pain to that area, if that doesn't give you some relief go see a chiro or massage therapist (if you live BC, Canada).

Trytaking a couple of pain killers and putting a hot water bottle on it, then go to the doctors in the morning

Yes, heat will help. Do you drink a lot of soft drinks? My back kills me sometimes after I drink way too much soda, it has to do with your kidneys in this case. Buy some of those Therma-care patches for your back. They work wonders.
