It's been around for at least 20 years, maybe even longer IIRC. Beer gets nasty when it's gone through temperature changes, so chances are it will not be any good. Beer can collectors usually empty the cans anyway, typically by making a small hole in the bottom.
It's fairly common, so not worth much. Store it in the dark so the fun won't fade it and keep for another 25 years.

Well, this beer was made by a company that was owned (?) by President Jimmy Carter's brother Billy Carter. These beers were made in the 1970's and possible 1980's, but to my knowledge, they haven't been available for many years. So, I am guessing that the beer is not going to be too fresh if you try to drink it. I think the beer cans are more of a collector's item because of all of the press they got in the 70's due to them being associated with the President's brother. I don't think they are intended to be drunk nowadays. Unless... somebody started making fresh Billy Beer again (doubtful). Hope that helps!

each and each and every section has their personal possibilities that are really about continually really priced. Like proper right here in Ohio we've large Lakes Brewing agency and Columbus Brewing agency in six packs at very sensible expenses ($6-7). So my advice is to be particular what the major community 6-%. you receives is. diverse than for that, listed proper listed right here are some extremely reliable manufacturers with a extremely wide distribution decision and powerful pricing... Goose Island (IPA, Oatmeal Stout, Honker's Ale, Kolsch...) Gordon Biersch (Hefeweizen, Lager...) Rogue (St. Rogue pink, ineffective guy Ale, Mocha Porter...) New Belgium (fat Tire Ale, 2 decrease than...) Stone (IPA, Ruination, boastful Bastard...) Dogfish Head (60 Minute, ninety Minute, look after gentle...) Flying dogs (In warm temperature Wheat, street dogs, Snakebite IPA...) Then of course there is Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada. don't be discouraged through way of a likely severe priced 6-%. although. an magnificent variety of the time craft beer is better than macro manufacturers so that you're really about at as straight away as procuring the version contained in the skill of the beers and subsequently for extra aspects. also once you commence up reliable purchase procuring for beer you'll wind up getting expired or spoiled beer that couldn't really suck for you financially, yet it also will portray in any diverse case reliable beers in a foul gentle.

It was a brand that Jimmy Carter's brother Billie came out with. Hasn't been made in at least 15 years.
It isn't for drinking, even if it were fresh. Hold it and sell it someone else.

Billy beer was made when Jimmy Carter was president of the USA. It wasn't good then and it probably isn't good now. Good for show and tell and that's about it.
Billy was Jimmy's brother

If Billy Carter is still drunk, then it must be fresh.
Oh wait, he did not have any standards to speak of (embarrassed his brother Jimmy) so the beer will be just awful.... similar to Joebells (Goebel)--- nasty but cheap (made in Detroit!)!!
Great novelty item though...

Pop the top and see if it tastes green, Then it won't be worth anything.
Who cares if it's fresh, it's only value is "unopened".
Of course you knew that or you wouldn't have bought it from e-bay

Taste it, If the first thought you get is "Someone urinated in this bottle" it is fresh. It you think "This taste like crap" it is probably old.
