There are a lot of closed-minded people in the world. They want people to hear their opinion, but don't have time for others. It really is a shame, because its not just "everyday people" who act like this, but politicians - all across the spectrum - that do as well.

I will listen but if it starts by saying that illegals help our economy then it is more BS from the people who have an agenda rather than comments from people who have looked at the FACTS. I am also not for rewarding people who violate our laws just as I do not reward my kids for violating the rules. By giving reward to people who do wrong you encourage more improper behavior from them and others. If all of that is not enough think of this, My wife and step sons were born overseas and had to wait their turn to become citizens so is it right to bump people who are waiting on the legal process to take in the people who have broken our laws and in my opinion have already proven they have no respect for this country. I will agree to hear out anyone who offers a plan or idea that doesn't include rewarding wrong actions or making the US citizen suffer in any way the burden of the immigrants wish to come here.
I will not listen to the same as it ever was approach or any answer that involves amnesty. I will not vote for or support any plan that utilizes tax dollars to pay for goods and services for the immigrants and if left to my there would be no more interest free loans for small business for people immigrating here. I as a citizen do not have that benefit why then should an outsider.

I may have a lsightly different viewpoint on this than most of the respondents thus far, because I AM a recent transfer from another country. One where the "illegals" flooding across the border to make use of the systems set up by the people / for the people are AMERICAN CITIZENS.
I'm talking about the northward flow of elderly (and, somteimes not-so-elderly) affluent Americans across the border to Canada in search of cheaper drugs and cheaper health care. They expect all the benefits of the Canadian system ... without having put the time and effort into it from the beginning.
The US could have the same benefits as Canada ... but would have to pay for it by hiking taxes to unheard-of levels (40-60 percent of your gross income would go to combined federal and "state" taxes ... on top of that, there's a sales tax on almost everything but water that's in the range of 12-15 percent). Still interested? Didn't think so ... or else you'd already be doing it.
I am here legally, by the way - I went through all the hoops to get into the country and enable me to work. My wife came with me ... and because of the visa status, she ISN'T allowed to be employed. Even though her specialty is something that most of the southern states (and Texas in particular) is crying out for. No one is willin gto "sponsor" her for a visa in her own name. But they're sure willing to tap into her expertise for free ...
I think the biggest beef from the so-called "illegals" is that they have no say in what the ruiles are for immigration. Well, that's true ... they're coming in after-the-fact, so to speak. The ones who got here first usually get to make the rules ... it's been the same thing since kids were kids on the playground. Once you've done things according to the system and reached a position of influence, THEN you can make changes to policy. Otherwise, you're out of luck.
On the other hand, Americans need to look at things equally clearly. If you don't want illegals in your area, don't support them. Don't use "cheap" labor - or ensure that the labor you hire can provide qualifications to show their legal work status. But don't come wandering across the border when you can't afford your medical bills any more either ... those of us who are Canadians don't want you either.
Or better yet ... work together as a team and make sure those who are creating the rules have the whole story - and are both representative of your ideas and responsible to your input.

It has not something to do with " sense threatened by making use of coming near Mexican subculture". It completely has to do with the easy word that lots of seem to have problems be attentive to-how - unlawful. somebody it is breaking the guidelines - understanding and purpose upon breaking the guidelines - merely isn't this sort of individual who i be attentive to of any government is calling for to alter into element of its united states. not even Mexico - in any different case their view of their very own problems with their southern border could be a very distinctive ideas-set now does not it. i don't provide a flying turn if the unlawful is Mexican, from India, Spain, Russia - call the country. The key-word is "unlawful". Did it ever go your ideas that the reason that they are "abused and misconcieved" is as a results of the fact they're breaking the regulation - and the corporate and human beings at the back of those companies will proceed to flee with it with the aid of fact those human beings are - dare I ingredient out the plain - they're unlawful? they have not have been given any suitable to be here? what's so perplexing approximately be attentive to-how the word "unlawful"? That human beings who harm the regulation are CRIMINALS? perhaps you will locate "enlightment" and get a dictionary and start up getting a working information of the English language and what specific words recommend. BTW - you'll be able to desire to apply spellchecker as you spelled quite a few words incorrectly.

I do not know how to curb the illegal immigration, but the word ILLEGAL means it needs to be stopped. Am I agains ILLEGAL immigration. Yes. Just as I am against ILLEGAL rape and murder.
Legal immigration allows a country to protect itself by allowing a certain number of people in who will contribute to the society and not be a drain on it. I'm all for those immigrants, like my own ancestors, who come here legally and become citizens in time.
There is no other point of view on being against something illegal. It's illegal after all.

Oh trust me I have, and I understand that they wat to be here for a better life. that's fine. And I also understand that they work jobs that no one else will work. I understand that they have no hope or future in their own country cause if they did, they wouldn't be over here. But I think this question should be opposite. Why don't people listen to the point of views of a majority of American citizens in why they are upset? Illegals don't work jobs that no one else wants, they work jobs that no citizen can get because they are overqualified. American citizens wages get taxed, therefore overqualifying them for the job. Another thing, why do so many illegals think this country would sink without them to do these jobs? Let me explain, First of all, the billions of dollars that taxpayers pay annually for illegals to be on wellfare, social services, medicaid, affordable housing, and our education system, that they contribute nothing back to, could go to hiring citizens that are in need of jobs that will pay an appropriate wage. i know deporting that may illegals is costly, but I know it can't be as much as we're paying annually. So the extra taxpayer's money can go to other problems that this country is dealing with and help this economy grow like it should be doing. If Americans were so lazy, then illegals wouldn't have jobs, because Americans wouldn't be working, so there wouldn't be any taxes for these people to live or work off of. Another thing, do you know how those protests got started? Well just to let you know, they were started by a bunch of high school students that were looking for a reason to ditch school. Next thing you know, all these illegals are protesting for rights in a country in which they entered illegally. This is what pissed American citizens off. What makes them think they can do this and nobody is gonna get mad about it? Besides, what's the difference in them complaining about having rights and us complaining about them being here? Also, when an illegal immigrant starts calling Americans "United Statesians", or demanding rights on our soil in spanish because they don't know english and then finishing it off with "Viva Mexico", it's pretty hard for me to take them seriously. All that shows me is there is a lack of intelligence and a lack of respect for this country to wait in line like everyone else to become citizens of this country.
I could really care less about the thumbs down, because I know the people that give it to me are not wanting to hear the truth. Open your eyes, they will show you the truth.

If someone pro illegal immigration had an intelligent point to make, I would listen. All I have seen from pro illegals in this game is how racist the anti illegals are. Make a real point!

I have read every question you have asked. Some I answered, some I didn't.I read all the posts from pro/anti /indifferent I like information backed up by facts.Emotions are one thing but facts and truth are the real deal.I do listen, and I do think about the other sides views. Some are right, some are wrong.Everybody has a right to their own opinions but you cant change facts. That's what I love to read.People complain about cut and paste but that way its a true representation of the article. If I paraphrase it I may change it with my views inadvertently.I want to hear peoples thoughts without race being used .I want to see facts and figures that are verifiable. That's just the way I am.But trust me I do listen to all sides.
