I weigh about 170 pounds and just went up to a size of 16! I try to excerize but I get really lazy at seeing no progress. I can't go to a gym because I have no ride, and to take Public Transportation is off limits because my neighborhood is dangerous. So I got this idea in my head to go anorexic to just go down to about a size 11. I don't want to look very skinny and not so much like I do now either. So I figured that I can stop right after that and just have a normal diet. The thing about not having a normal diet now, is that i really want to loose weight fast! What do you guys think?

No, you should not go anorexic for a while. It is highly likely that quitting would be more difficult than you realize, and anorexia is a very dangerous disease, not a diet aid. While it will certainly take longer to lose weight using a traditional diet/exercise plan, it is MUCH healthier. One of my favorite tricks is more meals, but smaller. Aim for 6 healthy meals a day, about 1/2 the size of a normal meal. Also, sneak in exercise wherever you can. Turn up the music and dance - it's fun enough to put you in a great mood while you burn calories. Losing weight slower may be less appealing, but it is so much better for your body. It is also easier to maintain the lower weight if you have gotten used to a healthier lifestyle.

Are you aware that the sexiest woman EVER - Marilyn Monroe was a 12 (meaning she probably wore a 14 or a 16). Now I realize that times have changed but still honestly go back and look at her peictures - isn't she just a beautiful woman?

Do you think God put us on Earth for us all to tlook the same and be the same size? I sure don't, wouldn't that get a little boring?

Have you see the Girls Next door the E show about Hugh Heffners life and his three girlfriends - Bridget is certainly not pencil thin and she is beautiful!

I think it is more important for you to develop more self esteem and realize your true value cannot be weighed on the scale, it can be judged by your heart.

I would rather spend time with a person I enjoy being around and who is happy than Kate Moss any day, and any person worth knowing will tell you the same thing.

Are you kidding me? Have you never heard of Anorexia? Do you know that it can have devastating results on your body and mind? You don't get results if your not trying! It will take at least 2 weeks to see any results, but don't quote me at that. You can become consumed by this disease. Yes, this is a disease not an easy way to lose weight. Have you never watched anything on t.v about it? It always starts to "just lose a few pounds fast" but then your down to 98 pounds and then what? You just keep going and going till you die. You will never be happy about your body if you do that. You will think well if I have lost this much than maybe I should just keep going! Wouldn't you be happier to lose it yourself the healthy way than to succumb to an illness? I couldn't be proud of something that I didn't do. Just look up Paula Abdul and read her story about it. I think you are taking the easy way out now, but in the long run you will be hurting yourself more than helping. Good Luck and stay strong

anorexia isn't the newest diet fad, it's a disorder that many females and some males go through. If you want to loose weight do it the old fashion way, eat right, exercise at home, etc. Don't starve your body once you start eating again you will gain all the weight back. Besides there is no fast way to loose weight and keep it.

anorexia is not a method to lose weight and keep it off, as soon as you start to eat again, your body will store the extra calories as fat, because your body has been in the starvation mode. You are better off to increase your activity and make health choices in what you eat. I had great results with a trampoline. Start with 1000 jumps a day. You can do this while watching your favorite TV show or listening to your favorite music. This type of work out works every cell in your body. start out doing it every other day and work up to 2 days on one day off this will get results. Raising your arms above your head like in a jumping jack will engage your upper body.
As you progress you can increase your number of jumps and or also use hand held weights. Good Luck to you and your progress, please lose the weight the healthy way.

Ok, You'll go anorexic and when you stop your regain your weight and then some. So no. Bad and STUIPID idea. If you have friends ask them if they want to start going to the gym with you. Working in pairs is always helpful (you can support and encourage each other). If one has a car set days for them to pick you up (you shoudl pay some gas every time you go out of curtisy) and go togeather.

NO! It's hard but just try to reduce your portion sizes. Have more smaller meals instead of big ones at one time that stretch out or keep your tummy stretched. This will also help your metabolism. Big is beautiful sometimes, too. Don't stress it. Life is too short. If you think your weight is a health issue, try to find support. Someone you can talk to on the phone or keep yourself busy with writing or something that you can't eat while you do it. I

This is a very bad idea. The best way and most healthy way to lose weight is to eat a lot of proteins, not a lot of fatty foods, and to work out a lot. Seeing as you have no way to truly work out, you should just exercise. Being anorexic is the one worst possible choices, don't do it. It is not the right decision.

Heck NO! Anorexia is unhealthy and it can end up becoming an addiction. If you are just plain too lazy to really exercise, try herbal supplements such as Herbalife. They have great products to get you at your ideal weight. Just do a Yahoo search and you should have no problem finding a site that sells.
