I recently met someone who makes me completely happy and whom I have a lot of things in common with. I love his conversation ad we have a great time together. Now the thing is we just got together not too long ago...i would say about 2 1/2 months ago. I really care about him and we have a great chemistry. I don't want to rush into things because my relationship failed because we rushed. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I have a lot of emotions running through me at one time. HELP...!!!

I think the best thing for you to do is sit down and sort out your feelings/emotions. Decide whether they are well founded or not. Just know that not all relationships fail if they move fast; there are exceptions. It just depends on the two people in the relationship. You can always talk to your guy and tell him how you are feeling and that you do not want to rush. Sometimes it helps to get it all out. And who knows, maybe he feels the same.

There is no correct amount of time, but if things are going good, just go with it and see what happens. When or if a storm hit, how well you guys recover from it will speak volumes. For instance, a first arguement in a relationship can be a tone setter. How well you two handle the not so happy times is major, because the happy times are not always the times that test your relationship.

Wow, a time limit? You really are new at this, LOL! I think it's easy to tell if "you love someone" but much harder to tell if he really loves you the same kinda way. I will tell you one thing (strickly from a male perspective), most guys are not as eager to establish a "relationship" as girls are. The "R-word" connotates commitment and that takes a lot of thought and stuff. If you (he) are real young (like teenagers), I'd hold off on getting to emotionally involved with him too soon. Just play it safe and continue to enjoy each others company.
