Back in high school I attended a seminar about female health. The lady who was lecturing said something about how a female adult who is five feet tall should weight about 100 lbs. If you're taller than five feet then you should add five pounds to your weight for every inch. For example someone who is 5'7" should weigh about 135.

I'm guessing, but you worry that you are underweight.
Another guess, but I'd say between 90 and 110 pounds.
A better way to decide if you weight about the right amount
is by looking at your body parts individually.
Below the knee, it's all genetics,
but if you have no ankles or no definition,
then that is a sign of lack of muscle tone = execise.
The thighs are telling. At the upper thigh,
it is good to have a little 'flab' that you can shake.
If you have no fat on the upper thigh,
then you're on the thin side.
The buttock is genetic, but be concerned
if you can push in to hit bone, or not sit on a rail.
The cheeks of the tail should not be sunken.
The hips are telling, a fat storage place.
You should have a slight spreading out at 18,
not slender like a boy's. Press to find some softness.
If you can see the outline of you hip bone -- too thin.
The ribs are the classic test.
If you can see ribs while standing relaxed -- too thin.
The cheeks of the face should not be sunken.
The face is usually one of the first places weight loss shows.
You can give youself a 'forced choice' test.
Wearing a bikini swim suit at the pool,
Go to people and have them answer one of two answers,
and tell them they have to answer.
Make up a reason if you like.
Tell them it is a science project to see the effect
of the color of your swim suits.
Ask them, "Would you say I should gain weight, or lose weight? You should get about a 50/50 response if you are about right size.
No one person's word should be the verdict.
I'm betting you are thinking you don't need to gain weight,
but people keep telling you to gain some.
Have you been heavier, and lost it?
If so, you might have a body image disorder.
Have you been about the same weight all along,
and over the past year you have grown an inch?
If so, your thinness might be due to that.
Have some friends imitate the way you eat.
If they show you eating finicky like, picking and chewing,
always saying you are full, the you might have developed
an eating disorder.
Eating disorders are so common among young girls.
Above all, ask your doctor openly and frankly.
Developing a trusting relationship with your doctor is important.
Your asking this question is healthy of you,
showing your care about your health
and value the opinion of others.
You can ask, but can you accept the answers?
Please keep asking and listen to the answers.
good luck

According to the BMI index, a female at 5' should weigh between 100lbs and 105lbs. The calculations are based on the following formula:
5' = 100lbs
For every inch over 5' add 3-5lbs

It really depends on your body type. Go to this web site and check out your BMI http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/. I'm thinking that a "normal" weight girl should weigh right around 110 lbs give or take 10.

I'm 5'2", and when I was 18 I was around 95-100 pounds. It depends on your build, like if you're athletic or slim or shapely.

Whatever she wants to weigh. Society has become so governed by sheep wanting to look like the other sheep. We need to cast off our shackles and start looking like whatever we please. I hope that she is happy the way she looks. If not, poor girl.
