You have an ss card? I would go to your local recruiter and tell him you would like to join. Explain that you were 2 when you got here and maybe he can help you with the red tape. You'll have to take a test but it's an easy one. Good luck

If you aren't legal, how pray tell do you have a social security number? The only 3 ways to get a social security card is to become a citizen, get a green card, or to buy one illegally. If you love this country so much, why not get one the legal way? Then you could join the military without any legal ramifications.

I am not aware of any ways that would allow you to join the military without a green card. There's an extensive back ground check that needs to be done. You can call a recruiting office and ask them if its possible. you can also check out www.army.com for more information on enlisting

Good luck with the residency situation.

You will have to declare your intention to become a legal citizen. There are also some requirements that you actively work toward that goal while serving. Those are the only requiremetns beyond what would be required of anyone else you'll have to meet.

If you have a valid SSI card then you will have no problem. Contact your local recruiter or go on line to www.goarmy.com
You must be able to pass the ASVAB tests and the Physical. You cannot have a criminal record as an adult.

Indeed...man, if youre serious, there are ways thru waivers...and usually if your record is cool...you may have a shot. I feel as an American that you are a true American because of your determination....and thank you in advance for the service you'd do to our country. g/l to you.
