An intensive cardio routine is good for short term wieght loss. It will help you lose that first chunk of wieght. Beyond that you will need to do wieghts to increase your muscle tone (state of constant partial contractions) in order to increase you metabolism and your daily caloric outtake. If you are going to work out for an hour a day I would recomend the first 30 minutes be intensive weight training. Light weight and lots of reps. 20 - 30. The second half hour intensive cardio. Running, biking ect. Dont let any one fill your head with that fat burning zone garbage. Working out at low intensity dose burn fat but not very much. If you want results you need to make it intensive. You will burn a lot of sugar durring the work out and your body will go into the fat burning zone for up to 24 hours after your done working out.

Burn more calories than you eat. For every 3500 calories you burn more than you eat you will lose a pound. Get rid of the Big Macs and fries and eat healthy. Eat fish, salads (without the 400 calorie dressing) and other low fat foods. Exercise, remember that you need to jog for an hour to burn 600 calories. It is better to not eat it than to try and exercise it off.

Exercise and swtich snacks to lettuce w/fat free dressing and a large glass of water. I lost 20lbs that way.
