HAAH i answered a question like this once.
besides the obvious "Don't drink so much"
hangovers are caused by a combination of dehydration, electrolyte loss, and alcoholic withdrawals. the last one sounds scary but that is in fact what a hangover is.
Some bad hangovers are caused by drinking alcohol with Sulfites in it, like red wines or some fruit coolers many people are allergic to sulfites. (ME)
all alcohol that contains sulfites says on the back "contains sulfites" pretty sweet huh? stay away from those.
other than that you can
1. drink a lot of water right before you pass out (not recommended if you have a tendency to wet the bed)
2. drink gatorade for breakfast -this will hydrate you and replenish your electrolytes
3. eat a salty snack -this will feed you and replenish electrolytes
4. sleep more
5. if you can smoke some weed do it -marijuana is used to alleviate headaches and nausea in cancer patients, and trust me, it works wonders for hangovers too.
6. take this stuff called "Chaser" it is an OTC med that i have never tried, but ive heard it works.
good luck and good health

Here is what you need to do. Try this on... if you do end up drinking perhaps a bit too much. Then go to wherever and buy a bottle of gatorade(medium size). Now after you've been drinking and you are preparing to go to sleep now, drink most if not all of that gatorade before you fall sleep. It will help. And don't drink at coffee the next day.. Tea is much much better.
Good luck

K ... peel the label off of a bottle of liquor ... pour some of the liquor onto a saucer, then put the label in it ... and let it soak a few minutes. Remove the label and put it in a safe place.
After a night out ... and you're hung-over ... take the label, and stick it to your forehead. Give it a couple minutes, and you'll notice that you're starting to feel better. You're now wearing the "patch". If you start feeling toooo good, remove the patch and go on about your day.

The best way is not to solve, but to prevent:
Before you go party, drink a qt. gal. of yogurt and/or a BIG sip of olive oil. It will cover your stomach and protect it from alcohol damage.
Do not drink sweet drinks. Alcohol and sugar is a lethal combination since your body will take sugar to process and alcohol straight to your blood.
And last, but not least, for every alcoholic drink you have, drink a glass of water. It will help your body to process alcohol faster, you'll enjoy longer and there will be no pain!
Hope it helps.

A big breakfast also helps - there was an episode of Brainiac about that - eating a good english breakfast with lots of water worked the best

excedrine works much better than regular asperin because it's basically asperin with cafeine. if you take some excedrine a vitamin b12 capsule and some water you'll be fine in about an hour or so. but eat a little something as well it helps.

Eat a wicked breakfast to get energy back again. Take a shot of bourbon or bottle of beer. You'll be drunk yeah, but at least not hungover.

There is no cure for a hangover, but what normally makes me feel a bit better is drinking warm milk and eating olives..
