I would love to know! I think in my situation that if my sister trys hard enough and I notice that shes doing great it just boosts her self-esteem and makes her feel better..We weren't brought up to compete or anything but she goes all out living in a rich area and everything! I think its because she has low self-esteem and maybe something really isnt perfect in her life like she makes it out to be so by me praising her she feels confident and is able to tell herself that everything is going to be okay....Very sad but I think it is true!

when we all get together, i can not believe the way my siblings act. it's like it's time to see who has what and did what and how much did that cost.
they no not to get me involved. i told them a long time ago , i'm not playing this game.

Maybe they're just competitive and feel that would motivate the others. Or they're insecure.

Yep - it gets on my nerves. Why do they do it. Someone should tell them to set rules and not do it.
