IE is 4-6 years behind in development and is really only still trying to catch up with most other browsers especially Firefox. However firefox is currently breaking out to its 2.0 version which will have more features that IE 7.

I find IE 7 better than before but as mentioned before, its fallen way behind and still has some work to do.

Improvements include:
- Tab browsing (finally - been needing this for years)
- Improved security (apparently)
- Better support for web standards - but could do with some more work
- Extensions like on Firefox have also become available but the range is a bit poor
- When you try to increase the font size - the whole page will increase including images - nice
- Supports RSS

I would recommend that you use Firefox - personally I like it more. The extension available to it - makes it so much better than Internet Explorer 7.

The main features and changes are as follows:

1. Support for newsfeeds (RSS)
2. Tabbed browsing (like Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc..)
3. Vastly improved security model for safer browsing
4. Somewhat improved support for standard web languages (CSS, XHTML, etc..) but still far behind (admittedly) than other browsers.
5. Updated, slicker, interface and look.

That's about it. It's an update I highly recommend if you have to stick with Internet Explorer for some reason.
