It is often said that God will not act a certain way because s/he said the s/he won't in the Bible. For example, God will never again flood the earth but purge it with fire. If God truly is the Supreme Being, why could s/he not change hir mind and do whatever else s/he wanted?

hmm well all I can say is God is supream reason, this bieng said s/he is also all good, this being said, it would be reasonable to state that if one was to declare in a sacred text that s/he would not do such a thing, then to turn hir back on it, then it would be percieved as evil.

very nice on the s/he part buy the way, as God is niether man nor woman

Actually, it's correct to refer to God not by a gender, God is God. The only reason we call God "father" is because it is the only way we simple humans can characterize God.

God could decide something else, but because God made a promise, the earth will not be destroyed again by flood. GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES.

I'm not sure why you think that God wants to change His mind, but can't. He isn't like us, unsure, guessing, hoping. He knows the end from the beginning and has all wisdom. That is one of the most comforting aspects of trusting God--he doesn't change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is our Rock. He is our Shelter. Our part is to trust Him, not to question His wisdom.

God can do what he wants to. BUT He promised never to destroy the earth with water and he WILL keep his word (note "HIS") God is not a woman. that being said. God can change his mind, but he won't becuase God isn't unsure about anything. When he says something he means it and he knows what he is doing.

First off, stop saying "she" God is a HE..

God does not change.

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Jeremiah 2:11
Has a nation ever changed its gods? (Yet they are not gods at all.) But my people have exchanged their Glory for worthless idols.

Malachi 3:6
[ Robbing God ] "I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
