If the people from congress were intelligent, which they are not, they would enact the same legislation nationally.

Now we need ten thousand cities to do the same.

If our leaders sell us out then we will, as our forefathers, take control of the government one town at a time. This, after all, is a country ruled by the people and not by the corruption on the hill.

Perhaps instead of listening to their foolishness, we need to escort them from their plush offices in Washington, to somewhere in the desert and let them walk their way home. Meanwhile, we need to have special elections and begin again. We need fresh, honest representation without the desire to fill their freezers with cash in a baggie!

Despite the gains of Democrats in races across the country, true immigration reformers made gains in Arizona and Colorado with the passage of several ballot initiatives. In Arizona, four ballot measures decisively passed on Election Day with more than 71 per cent of the vote. These include:

Prop. 100 - DENIAL OF BAIL; ILLEGAL ALIENS. Prevents those charged with serious felonies from being eligible for bail if they are in the country illegally.
Prop. 102 - PUNITIVE DAMAGES; ILLEGAL ALIENS. Blocks illegal aliens from being able to obtain punitive damages in lawsuits.
Prop. 103 - ENGLISH AS OFFICIAL LANGUAGE. Requires formal state government action to be conducted in English. Use of a language other than English is permitted in certain cases, e.g., when required by federal law, in actions to protect public health or safety and to promote or conduct tourism or international trade. Informal non-English communications or translations between government officials and the public are permitted but are considered nonbinding.
Prop. 300 - PUBLIC PROGRAMS; ILLEGAL ALIENS. Blocks illegal aliens from receiving state-subsidized programs for adult education and child care; denies illegal aliens eligibility to participate in state-run adult education classes or family literacy programs.

In Colorado, voters approved two anti-illegal immigration ballot initiatives by closer margins. These are:

Referendum H - Prohibits employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens from claiming a state tax deduction for wages paid to those workers.
Referendum K - Directs the attorney general to sue the federal government to demand enforcement of immigration laws.

Right now there are more than 50 citys looking into measures like the ones in Farmers Branch ,Tx. and othe citys. The poster below is correct it is a back lash against only illegal aliens not legal immigrants.

Hey Tx your not the first. Hazalton Pa started this type of ruling a while back. Its a step in the right dirrection but if more don't follow them the illegals will just go to other towns. I will bet that Ca counties will not be so bold as to take a stand. I hope I am wrong but I doubt it.

The only thing Farmers Branch has accomplished with that, unfortunately, is made them move to another town or state. Good Job!!! Sure, it's a start, but only for those towns doing this and I wouldnt hold my breath waiting for too many towns to follow suit once backlash from that town doing so hits the fan. Times are changing alright, but dont start gloating that its for the better just yet.

There was no "immigration backlash." The anger is directed toward those here ILLEGALLY.

if the illegals want to march, then ICE should send a dozen of buses to start deportation.
