No you need 6 consecutive months of active duty and an honorable, or general discharge.

Technically, you are a veteran after serving for 1 second, but you won't be eligible for most government programs unless it is the government's fault that you were injured and had to leave for medical reasons. The "180 day" rule mentioned above applies to almost all government programs otherwise unless there are some special circumstances that would have to be reviewed.

I think you have to be enlisted for 90 or 120 days? Maybe longer....but not 23 days.

gully u must be a wuss a big time wuss.....u know how long basic training is its 9weeks dude for you to be called a veteran u have to atleast be in 6months in the military for you to be called a veteran now since u only been in for only 23days i guess u quit hah..lol i guess u couldnt handdle the training and u quit cuz ur drill sgt. keeps yelling at you and you didnt like it eh. well this is what you are a big time yellow belly...lol...man you are not even worth to be called a man nor a male. cuz one thing about male they got balls and you dont. your pethetic for a man or for a guy.

If you've only been in 23 days you're still in boot camp....no veteran there !!

Pull up VA qualifications online - facts may be listed under veterans administration......but I would doubt it less than a month......sometimes dependent upon injury involvement.
