you shouldn't do much until you are sure she is ready. if she looks at you throughout the movie, she is interested and probably wouldn't mind you holding her hand. you could try just putting your arm and the armrest and see what she does. if it seems she gets nervous, don't try anything but don't get so nervous and jerk away, this will only make her feel weird. also, pay attention to the movie but not so much that you forget about her. the main thing is not to move to fast. take your cues from her and RELAX. i hope you have a good time and good luck.

Lighter Bringer
Take it easy not too strong. We like it when our guy hold our hand or put his arms around us during a movie. But don't go any further than that. Usually I invite those things when I am at the movie at on a date. Just pay attn to her body language, if her arms are folded, then she is only at the movies just to be at the movies. But if she is flirty and seem happy, she is at the movies with you and on a real date.
Good Luck and make sure those arms and hands are nice and warm.

Just RELAX!!! Bring her a little bunch of flowers or something cute like that. You just said that the both of you have come from hurtful relationships. This could be the best FRIENDSHIP you've ever had and may even move into a relationship in the future. Don't rush into anything, either for YOU or for HER. Just take it easy and, for goodness sakes, don't try to hit on her. You may scare the heck out of her! Then again .......... what kind of cues is she giving you? Anyway, I'd take it slow and easy and, hey, don't forget your sense of humor!!!

I would let things progress naturally. Don't make the decision about what you'll do before you even go out. You can make your affection for her known by doing some small things, maybe put your hand on her arm when you are talking to her. If you try to make a move too fast, then she might get scared or feel pressured.

If you say that ya'll really like each other, than I don't think that it will be wrong for you to make a move such as: a hug, kiss or your arm around her . Just take things slow and try to get comfortable around her.

I would just relax and enjoy the movie. Holding her hand while you walk her back to the car is a nice jesture as long as she is ok with it. Don't try to push things just yet. Give it time and it will go there without any effort if you two are meant for eachother.

If I were you I would take it slow. Women aren't so quick to forget when they have been treated badly. If you move too fast on the first date, you may not get a second. Be sure to let her know how you are feeling without going overboard. I guess what I am trying to say is take it slowly at first. If she is interested in you, she will let you know! I hope this helps, good luck!

Putting your arm around her and holding her hand is not coming on too strong. Go for it! Good Luck.

Go with what feels right. Don't go in expecting to hold hands if she seems receptive then try the only thing she can do is pull away.

if it's your first date, i'd say no, unless you have held her hand or put your arm around her before. the best first time to hold her hand is for more short periods, like walking her to her door or car for example.
and movie seats are bad for leaning into each other. if you wanna put your arm around her, do it on a couch, and see if she leans into you first. try to read her body language.
