Heinz makes custom labels on their old 14 oz bottle, I ordered some for Christmas and I know I will be asked. PLEASE only answer if you know.

When kethcup goes bad you will know it when you see it. Ketchup has a high acid content and therefore can be left out longer than other condiments. When in doubt throw it out.

I work in food service, so I hope you find this helpful. :)
The usual rule with condiments (mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce,), but not ones with egg in them (Mayo and the like), is when it starts to grow stuff then it's bad. With other foods, sometimes they will start to smell or change color before they start to grow stuff (think milk-foul-smell and some kinds of meat will start to change color as they get older).
However, if the bottles are factory sealed then their shelf-life is considerably longer.
