A lot of people hit a plateau from boredom or wrong choices. I would change your resistance training program, either by changing the lifts, set, or reps. Be sure to do that every 3-4 weeks. For cardio do a variety of exercises or machines. Include at least one or two sessions of interval training a week. Another note on weights, try using free weights that uses a lot of muscle mass and avoid the isolation machines. When using those you don't engage your core muscles which makes the lifting easier.

That is very common. When you are losing weight, you don't go in a continuous line, but rather in a series of little plateaus. What happens is your body gets used to the new routine and it becomes easier and easier, and takes fewer and fewer calories. That's your cue to do some cross training. If you've been working out at the gym, try adding something outdoors on one or two days a week -- an hour long walk at a brisk pace. It might seem similar to what you've been doing on the treadmill, but taking it out of doors puts a whole different aspect on it. Try riding the bike in the gym instead of the treadmill. Head for the swimming pool and start doing laps. Keep varying what you are doing, but still keep to your basic committment, and you'll find the weight will start to slide off again.
Congratulations on your progress so far. That takes real determination.

I understand how you must be frustrated! I used to feel the same way. I have been on EVERY diet out there! I am even a life time member of weight watchers TWICE! I finally found my answer! I have gone from a size 14 to a size 6 and have kept it off for over five years now! Your metabolism needs a jump start. What I did is Advocare! Advocare is not a diet pill advocare is a nutritional supplement. IT REALLY WORKS! Check out my web site and let me know how I can help you. Like someone helped me.

Muscle weighs more than fat so if you're gaining muscle and losing fat, you won't see much of a difference on the scale. Sometimes you do hit a slump where you won't lose, then maybe it's time to take your workout routine up a notch. Don't use the same routine daily, try something different maybe twice a week just to jumpstart your metabolism.

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).
I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

It's possible that your weight loss has just slowed down for a while. At the end of the month if you still have not lost 5 lbs since summer see your doctor and ask if (s)he can help find a new way of weight loss!

well my friend recently told me about a "anorexic trick" you cut your calories down to the following per day
1) 1200
2) 200
3) 400
4) 600
5) 800
6) 1000
7) 1200
its supposed to trick your metabolism and like "jump start it" so that you can get over the plateau and start losing weight again....obviously you only do it for one week and then go back to your routine.
dont do the trick more than once every four months
