This is my question - where is the proof of the existence of God?
I want you to prove to me the existence of god. I don't want to hear 'look around you' or 'he's every where'. I want hard factual modern day evidence of his existence. I want you to be able to give me modern day proof that does not arise from the bible. You have to be able to give me evidence of his existence from the 20th centuary to date. Show me modern day miracles that have his hand on it. I'm not interested in people recovering from illnesses or druggies converting to his faith. I'm sure some will come with 'he does not have to prove his existence' but..... oh yes he does. Especially when you can see the whole wide over that there is more evidence that he does not exist.
Quotes from the bible cannot be used. Lets see what the religious enthusiast can come up with on this one?

Adam - All that Fatima shows is that the Virgin Mary showed herself to children NOT God himself. On May 13th 2000 NASA recorded a solar storm that affected the sun. Pope John Paul's visit to Fatima, Portugal was punctuated by eruptions on the sun, marking the 83rd anniversary of miracle of Fatima that occurred on May
13, 1917. When it was public that the eruptions were caused by solar wind. The catholic church just happened to reveal the Third Secret that the Virgin mary was supposed to of told children when she appeared at Fatima. The first two secrets foretold the end or World War I and the start of World War II along with the rise and fall of Communism. The Third Secret foretold the shooting of Pope John Paul II several years ago. Why didn't they reveal this before? I think it was because they were all out of miracles.

Jsloaner0 - Come on. You can do better than that. Of course the names of cities in the bible still exist as they were there when MAN wrote the bible. As for the Turin shroud. You are just showing me that a man called Jesus who CLAIMED that he was the son of God. Died and got wrapped in a sheet. You are not giving me any evidence of God HIMSELF. You'll also have to do better with the garden of eden being found on satalitte TV. How canny that you can see it from space but man can't find it to prove it's existence.

Believer - I believe in a powerful energy that caused the big bang creating the planets. Our planet was in the right place with the right amount of sun, heat & light. I do not believe that god created adam & eve. I do not believe that god had a son called jesus. I do not believe that god even goes under the name of GOD. It's a name given by MAN.

Mibandibe - you are quoting from scriptures that have been written by MAN for man. You are not proving that god exists. You are using second hand gossip that has been passed down through the years.

I was right when I said that most would quote from the bible or they would go with the old favourites 'he's in all of us' or 'he's all around. Just take a look'. Not one of you can give me any factual evidence that he exists.

The radically, unbelievably finely tuned constants of all the universe are so wildly exacting that the idea that they all merely arose from natural chaos is... the mathmatical probabilities therein are among the largest numbers mankind has ever calculated. If numbers like the speed of light, the weight of a proton, and force of gravity were even the slightest bit off (I'm talking in scientific notation, hundred-trillionths) existence as we know it would NOT be possible.
Saying that existence is all one big meaningless coincidence is at the very least as large of a leap of faith as any religious belief could ever be. At the surface of all we know, yes, there IS more reason to be an Atheist. Going deeper, however, looking at the universe and the sum total of it's innerworkings, the unequivocal intricacies of it's make up and composure, and the idea that mindless chaos was the progenator of it all? ... it just doesn't add up.

The point is, you are just trying to stir things up, if any one person came here and told you God revealed Himself to them, you'd say they were either making it up, or mad? And lets face it, that, apart from miracles that happen every day, is the only way you will ever believe in God's existance is it not?
You will not accept any answers, because thats what the enemy does to people, and to be honest, can I prove beyond a reasonable doubt to anybody that God exists? No, I cannot, I can only explain my experiences, and recovering from illnesses, I do not understand why this does not interest you?
I know one person who had his head run over by a truck, and it was hanging all the road....we had 4 churches praying for him, and he survived, he uses a wheelchair, but is still mentally capable. Is this not a miracle?
Another friend of ours had terminal stomach cancer, and a tumour the size of a small Melon. Four people I know laid hands on her and poured out God's healing power into her, and within one month (bearing in mind she was given 2 weeks to live...) the tumour had completely gone.
Last one...an alcoholic relative of a friend, was given less than 24 hours to live, because her organs were all failing. That was 6 months ago, because we all prayed for her, and she is absolutely fine.
Those are experiences I've had, you can call them whatever you lke, lucky, coincidence, but it is the work of God. All God's children have the power to heal in his name, there just aren't enough people who have that kind of faith.
The truth is, God is very real, and plenty of people have a very real relationship with him, I mean actual communication.

Every person has been given two clear testimonies of God's existence. One of these testimonies is the world that God created. This outward testimony is easily observed by all men. Psalms 19: 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Another testimony is the coscience that He has placed within every person. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: The Bible clearly describes the person who rejects these testimonies is a fool. Psalms 14: 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Well I can tell you where He is not. He is not with you.
There is none so blind as those who do not want to see.
Please don't get hoarse in your rantings.
By the way, can you prove to me the existence of your mother? I don't want you to show her to me. I want hard factual evidence from today only of her existence. I want you to give me modern today evidence that does not arise from science or medical books or the Bible or any writing or photographs. You have to be able to give me evidence of her existence from yesterday to today. Show me something extreme and unusual and unbelievable that has her hand on it. I am not interested in witnesses who know her or anything that identifies her. I'm sure you will come up with I don't have to prove her existence, but.......oh yes she does. Especially when you can see all the women in the whole wide world that could rather be your mother. Dna and forensic evidence can't be used. Lets see what you can come up with ?
Oh, why bother ???

The problem is the answer is in front of you- and you do not want to accept it. You do not want to believe there is a God when infact there is one. And scriptures from the Bible only show that every man has been GIVEN proof of God. Now here is something that I dont know if someone has shared with your or not- But in Exodus ( I think it's Exodus) Moses is on the mountaintop with God- and Moses asks God to show himself to him- God tells moses that no man can see Him because they would die- God is so bright and so glorified that if we were to actually SEE him, we would die. God therefore has given us His written word- to speak to us, and keep us on the path with Him. God hid Moses in the cleft of a rock, and passed by him- God told Moses he could see His back as he passed, but that was all- So Moses saw the back of God as God passed over him.....Now when Moses came down from the mountain- his face shone so bright just from looking at the back of God- that everyone who saw Moses could not even bare to look because the glory on Moses' face was too bright- So moses wore a veil until it disappeared. I love that story and this is what happened. So therefore another reason we dont physically see God, but HE is there- and The Bible is His word.
Read Romans 1:20---to remind yourself of what God tells us- because no man will have an excuse come judgment day.

Many leading scientists and other intellectuals not only believe in God, but will tell you they have concluded it was far more logical to believe in God than to disbelieve in Him.
Why did they come to this conclusion? One reason, I've discovered, was because they had an open mind, and were willing to examine the evidence for God and weigh it carefully and honestly. Can you say that about yourself—or is your mind closed, because you aren't willing to change it? Only you can answer this, of course—but I challenge you to be honest with yourself, and be open to the possibility that God does exist.
But many of those men and women came to believe in God for another reason: They examined the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and came to put their faith and trust in Him. You see, Jesus made the most startling claim imaginable: He claimed to be God in human flesh. He boldly declared, "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9).
Was His claim true? Yes—and the reason is because Jesus did something no one else had ever done, or ever will do: He died and three days later came back to life. Do you want to know what God is like? Look at Jesus Christ—and when you do, you won't only discover that God exists, but that He loves you and wants you to be part of His family forever.

ok, listen up, you want evidence, let's take a look at the fact that, 1) they have found the garden of eden by satilite, yet they cannot find it on foot. 2) the cities that are mentioned in the bible are real, and some are still standing today, and others go by a different name now. 3) they have found the remains of the city jericho and have proved that the walls fell outward not inward or blown up and flew to random spots. 4) they also have the shroud of turin, also known as the cloth that they buried jesus in. if that isn't enough proof for you then come back to me.
