i am in the same boat. my exboyfriend still talks about his first wife about things she has done to him over 25-30 years ago. She emptied the house with all the furniture, and he came home after work to an emptied house. He has told me this story over and over again at least 1,000 to 2,000 in the past 6 years. Maybe it all about having an inflated ego. He is so great he cannot imagine someone doing this to him. I spent $3,000 to $5,000 on roses in his front yard, and when he told me to leave his house, I pulled everyone up just to see how long he was going to talk about it or will he ever get over it. He still has it gotten over the roses being pulled up, and it is over 16 mos ago. Some people never let go.

In your case I don't think its that he is thinking of her if this is the only thing that makes him think of her, you know the cheating thing, he just sounds very insecure about women all together, he thinks that anyone he is with will cheat. Does he understand monogamy since he cheated on her too? Has he ever been unfaithful to you, thats a question for him not you to answer, because only he may know. But it sounds like he needs to understand that all women aren't skanks and sl*ts.

Hi there,
We live in this impractical society where a man is not supposed to wear his heart on his sleeve...
It is unrealistic for him to be able to demonstrate love when he is expected to be made of stone.....
Though women may bear children, a lot of the time they don't have to...
By the fact that they are life bearers they tend to over whelm the relationship with a great deal of personal needs....
The man, if he truly cares will sacrifice a lot of his self silently, this is called investment in the relationship....
Realistically, men like to invest in themselves as much as the woman does.
However, meeting the unrealistic demands placed upon males to be the bread winner in this inflated society stigmatic-ally robs him of fair play in the relationship.
When the relationship runs aground and the woman wishes to bail out we tend to feel betrayed and even helpless...
Quiet as it may be kept men are really, more romantic than women....
It is in a woman's biological make-up,being the moody creature that she is..
Pleasing her out-ward and innermost desires adds to our responsibilities and diminishes from the qualities in the relationship that tend to make us feel appreciated and equally blissful.
This should not be misconstrued as insecure....
It is in fact, (Human nature)...
It is natural to long for ones mate, not inanimate objects.....
If you really care and love him, reassure him of this....
I think you will win out, in the long run.....
Nurturing is the natural order and sustainance of any healthy relationship...

wow...
I'm a man that feel the need to be with a woman that understands...so sit down one day and just talk for about an hour straight and ask him what should you do about her. Ask what will it take for you to understand she don't care for you and just understand how much you love him....don' cry or act like you want to...just comfort him for as long as you guys talk...go to the park on accident.....

You need to just give your guy the best sex of his life. That will make him forget every woman he was ever with. If she gave him good sex, then that is the reason he cannot forget. You need to make sure he knows YOU ARE where it's at! 2 points.

The reason he can't get over her is because most likely she still has his heart.

That's a good question. Maybe he needs counselling. Maybe you need it too.
