In the book of revelation it talks about a war waged, the archangel michael will bring a group of angels (i think 1/3 of them) with him to earth to do battle against the devil and his minions. now i have to wonder. what will the battle prove? if angels die where do they go? if they dont die they how are either side going to win when all are/were angels at one point. and if they die will that mean there will be sadness in heaven for the losses of those fallen in battle?

Angels don't die. The fallen angels will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Jesus will end the battle with a word.

Because man is not privy to the exact nature of these beings, the "physical" properties and aspects of these celestial beings when such ideals as "death" are applied to them, we can't really know. We can only guess at it, and we'll never know so long as we're alive and the world is not in the full blown grips of the End Times.

I'm guessing the death of an angel and the death of a demon is much the same for the Death of a human being. Death simply means being removed from this world, not the termination of existence.

Does this mean that killing a demon or angel would be pointless? Hardly. Everyone dies. Everyone leaves this world at one point or another. How many people, however, actually COME BACK?

In the end, though, the Battle of Armageddon doesn't actually take place. It gathers, the forces of God and the Anti-Christ converge, but before the fightscene to end all fightscenes breaks out, there appears God who calls it all off.

Demons are cast with the Devil into the lake of fire, along with those who are unbelievers.

Revelation 20:10
10and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Revelation 20:15
And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

-And angels will be in heaven with the Lord and the saints of God ( those who are saved in Jesus Christ)

non secular beings are literally not restricted by tangible truth even as it contains the length of existence. If an angelic or demonic essence may be snuffed, purely God might want to recognize of it, although I doubt that it would want to ever take position.

Angels aren't alive in the first place. In a way they are, but not in a way that we humans are. Have you ever noticed that demons never die in movies? They are only scared away by the "good guy". I like to think of it as God will send his angels to fight, but it doesn't end until God himself shows up. The demons are so scared of his power and might that they surrender. I'm no expert, but that's kinda how I percieved it.

first of all angel can't be seen...how will they die in war then, and secondly they are spirit and spirits don't die.
And i think they will die only on the last day. When God will command all to die, even the angel of death will die...there will be none but God alone..after this...God will command all them to be alive...and the Jugdement day will begin....

The souls of angels that die are usually placed in an even higher realm than the realms of Heaven.

if you start to wonder about these things ... you are going to go round and round in cirles
i feel it is more symbolic than literal .. otherwise it makes no sense no matter how you think about it , for all of the reasons you have mentioned

Yes, I believe so. At the doomsday, everybody and everything will be gone, before resurruction. At the end there will be only God and the Angel of Death. God will ask him to take his life and he will. So, just like at the very start, God will be one and only and all else will cease to exist.
