I've been with my fiance for 5 years now, and we've decided to be married in 2008. I've told my parents but I dont know how to exactally tell my grandparents. Me and my grandparents are VERY close and I know they will be happy but how do I come out and say it?

Well, I think if you are close then they should be happy for you, they maybe a bit sad because you aren't going to be as close with them once you start your new life, but nonetheless happy.

I would plan for you and your fiance' to take them out to their favorite restaurant. Tell them and talk about your future together and how you want them to be involved.

My biggest advice is to tell them ASAP!! My fiance's grandma found out we were engaged by his cousin, she got her feelings hurt pretty bad, so don't delay! Good luck.

Baby you say that your grandparents would be happy for you so I guess you should just grab your fiancee and get it out. The faster they know would be the better for everyone because if you stay too long it would seem that you didn't want to tell them and its surely going to hurt them. Just tell them and I'm sure every things going to be great. Just do it! If you want it to be special then give to them the first invitation to your wedding even though its in 2008 that's okay just let them know. You can even take them out to dinner and make an announcement to the family.

Ask them to go out for dinner with you and your fiance, they'll probably get it by that and then at the dinner, look at you r fiance and say, grandma, grandpa me and .... are getting married and we would be more then honored to have your blessings

Congratualations!!!!! and good luck!

Just tell them, if they are gonna be happy then why are you nervous about telling them? If the whole family will be there for Thanksgiving, including your fiance then why not announce it at dinner?

Bring him with you and tell them. Are you worried that they won't like him? (I assume they've met him.)

If you're close to them, they'll be very happy!
