I'm guessing I already know this but my 2 cats need fixed and I don't have enough right now to do it. Would it be silly to just get 1 done now and the other later? Or should they both be done at the same time to heal at the same time? They are 7 mths.

well it depends on if they are different sexes....i would say the best thing is getting them both done at the same time. But if you do one first, get your male done first. He will start spraying if you don't get him done soon...also, neutering is usually cheaper. If they are both female or both male...get the most dominant one done first...this will help to reduce fighting with the other and calm them down.

also, remember to cut back on the food so that they don't end up getting fat after getting fixed...removing the reproductive systems cuts down the metabolism.

Taking a harm day could be a sturdy concern so which you may do. She should not be left on my own for the 1st 24 hours or so once you convey her residing house. do not pester her; she would be waiting to prefer to sleep and relax, with the aid of fact spaying is a rather invasive surgical operation. Make her a snug mattress (if she does not already have one); towels will paintings merely effective. verify she has dissimilar unpolluted water available, and foodstuff too, yet do not permit her gorge in the present day. verify she is punctiliously conscious and in a position to bypass. in the adventure that your vet performs the surgical operation first concern in the morning, she would be waiting to be waiting to bypass residing house in the previous due afternoon or early night. collectively as some vets prefer to maintain spayed animals in one day, yet there will be no person there to computer screen her. Being at residing house with you would be much less stressful for her, and you will have the potential to maintain a special eye on her. yet save this in ideas - the acceptable suggestion you will get is from you vet! Ask once you're taking her in day after today, and that they permit you to be attentive to each thing you'll be able to desire to be attentive to.

I would call a vet and ask about their payment plans most will work with you due to overpopulation of cats and if you show concern about finances most will do the job for both and will accapt payments later I would set up an appontments as soon as possable to get them both done before there a year old. Most will work with you if you show that you are a responsable pet owner.

Its fine to fix one and then the other later. There are places that offer discounts on spaying and neutering. A lot of places are itching to get more people to fix their animals that they have programs that offer reduced prices.

Good luck though.

If you have a male and female do the male as they will spray and you don't want any of that, plus its cheaper to neuter a male than spay a female. I won't hurt though to do one female and wait to do the other, at least one will be done!

Heres a better solution; check if the vet will do both and you can pay it out. My cat Stimpy thinks I'm smart. Sometimes anyway...LUCK
