God answers prayer when he feels the time is right. How I know this is because I prayed to God for 6 months and had family and friends pray also. My prayer didn't get answered for 6 months, because God healed me, by taking the pain away that I was in. Because I had a 5 feet fall and had a lot of complications. I have only been walking 4 weeks. Its down to you what you want to believe if there is a God or not, but I believe there is and I hear him speak to me. If you want any more advice you can e-mail me at barnes.chelsea@gmail.com :) I hope I've helped you understand. Drop me a e-mail if you want more information.

Religion was used by the government in very early times as a form of mass control.
How else would you control 1 million people?.. Create a religion which will get people to do the right thing, be good, dont commit crimes etc.
Praying obviously isnt going to work all the time even if there was a god, for example i could pray right now to be a millionaire tommorow, and i highly doubt i would be.

You cannot expect an immediate response from God- but continue praying that He will reveal himself to you, because HE IS REAL- just look at creation around you. That is the first sign of God- God does hear our prayers, and he works in HIS timing- maybe he is going to do something great in your life- and I pray He does!
Ezekiel 38:23
So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.
Romans 10:20
Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, "I have been found by those who did not seek me;I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me."
1 Chronicles 28:9
"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

It depends on what you're praying for. God is not a genie in a bottle. He answers prayers with yes only if it's in His will. God has answered my prayers. Prayers for the restoration of my friends that had walked away, prayers for healing, etc. He doesn't answer my prayers that so and so will like me and those kind of prayers that I prayed in high school.
Read His Word. Start with the first 4 books of the New Testament. Find out who He is. He promises us that if we truly seek Him, we will find Him. If you only wish to have fire insurance by praying, you're out of luck. It's all or nothing. You give Him your whole life, or you're left out in the cold.

There is a God and he does listen to your prayers, you should really voice your concerns to your pastor, or priest so that you can receive true spiritual guidance. I can tell you from my experience I pray daily and every night before bed and I have yet to have one prayer go unanswered, just keep in mind God knows your heart, and you truly can not receive if you do not love and trust him with your whole heart.

Yes you get to know him through Jesus, his son.
Read a bible and start in John 3:16-18. Ask Jesus into your heart and talk to him: he hears you. That's all prayer is; some people try to make it sound pretty.
Keep reading your Bible and praying and you'll get to know him. It's pretty nice and He offers hope to everyone.

chances are there is no god, (no proof) if you read the bible you will find merely a collection of fictional tales attempting to teach moral values. you will also find many impossible to believe stories (god created earth and us in 7 days) when it is obvious evolution is the answer. people are taught to ignore hard scientific facts just because some old book says so.

When you "pray", are you mostly just "asking" for things?
Are you trusting in Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour and are you trying tro follow Him as Lord of your life?
If you have become a Christian and are doing your best to be a Christian, then you already have received from God the greatest gift. Of course we do take our prayers and petitions to Him and sometimes He grants them; but what He has promised is that He will be WITH US. If you are not a Christian, then the only prayer He has promised to hear is (though not in these exact words): Lord be merciful to me, a sinner, hear me and save me for Jesus' sake".
Prayer is having fellowship with our heavenly Father; not just going to him and saying "give me, give me, give me" (like a lot of teenagers to with their earth fathers). Talking with Him and listening to what He would say to us (usually from His written Word).

Read Quran , if you wanna know, and read the 112 chapter which say "Say He is God(Allah) one and only, Absolute and Eternal ,He begets not nor is he beggotten, and there is nothing like Him"
Just do ablution and Follow One True God(the creator), and repent to him, prostrate to him like prophets...like muslims....then pray with true heart to him he will answer ya .....May Allah Guide you. Ameen!

i was in ur boat not to long ago. about the time i stopped believing. i grew up in a christian school from k-11th. asking questions the christians would basically outcast you, so i read and researched on my own. i came to conclusion the bible is filled with many errors and contradictions. i prayed that god show me a sign of his existance, its been about 10 yrs since then and i still have seen no sign. i personally believe that there is a god that exists, but i dont think the bible is his word, and i dont think the bible explains god either. you are welcome to email me if u have any further questions.
