Alright this guy I used to be friends with recently started IMing me, and now I found out he loves me, but I dont know what to do, he now lives in Texas with his family and I am in California. I love him, but the distance is soo much, would it be reasonable to go to college next fall to be near him. He used to be my best friend and I miss and love him alot, should I at least try to visit him?

Visit him and see how it goes. DO NOT GO TO COLLEGE TO BE NEAR HIM. I had a friend do that and once things turned sour she was miserable because she was stuck there near him and not where she wanted to be, or what would be good for her career. Don't rush things when you visit him, or try to make feelings there just because you want to be with someone. Being in an LDR (long distance relationship) is hard, and he better be someone who's worth it. When you're in an LDR, you run the risk of being in a trap where you're just in it for the occasional booty (when you get to see him), and for the sake of having a "title only" relationship--ie, you're just in a relationship with him so that you can say you have a boyfriend. As pathetic as it sounds, it's true, my LDR was that way and I'm not proud of it but I only realized that's how it was after the fact.

Distance relationships hardly work out, but if you have a chance to go to college out where he's at, go for broke, it would be a very romantic story to tell your grand kids, but what if it didn't work out? you went to Texas for some guy who dumps you, talk to your parents about it and see how it sits with them.
