I don't know that you can regain the Christian life that you had before. This is not to say that you can not establish a strong Christian life, but to have what you had before would require circumstances to be the same. I've seen much change within Christianity over the past 10-15 years. Often I wish for what I had before in my relationship with God. But to do the same things that I did before would not bring about the same results, as the whole field has shifted. My advice to you would be to determine for yourself who God is. If you believe the Bible is the sole source for God's words, then based on the Bible, figure out what qualities God has, what God approves of, what God requires. Work out your own salvation and do not expect the church to do it for you. Otherwise you're just buying a piece of already chewed gum which seems to have lost the flavor it once had. Best wishes to you in your search.

I would say that the Church you are going to isn't the one for you. Try some other ones! Every religion holds a key to Truth and a way to God...no one has the corner market on God.
When you are in the "right" Church or with the "right" Spiritual affiliation you will feel em-passioned...that's what the Holy Spirit does for us.
God could not shut the door on you. The fact that you feel that was is God speaking to you, him shutting you out is a an impossibility.

Your time never runs out with God. You are a marked child of God and He will always find you. I find that my faith is not always as strong at times as it is at others. You may not be attending the right church. To me, church should feel like coming home. Like a family. You may need to branch out and try different churches before you find the right one. Now that your older, you're more sure of yourself and what you believe. I left the church I was raised in because, as an adult, I didn't agree with the doctrines that this church preached, and I felt like a hypocrite attending. It took a long while of not attending at all, and then little by little trying new churches, until one Easter Sunday I walked into a new church. I got this overwhelming feeling of HIS love, friendliness, and acceptance, when I knew NO ONE there. Keep trying.

Hi, it is good that you want to do this work and feelings really should not be an issue here, rather you should trust in the Lord and let yourself be guided by His Holy Spirit.
the Lord knows full well how He wants you to help awaken in others the joy of the kingdom, and isn`t it really what He wants that`s important issue here.
remember that to many good people do nothing because they are waiting on God rubber stamping every move when in actuality God is saying, why do you hesitate?
I really believe that you must place all your trust in the Lord and lay aside your scruples and doubts, remember what He said to the Apostles regarding the man who was preaching yet was not one of them? He said leave him alone if he is not against us then he is for us.
the Lord needs fearless warriors in these times and the faint hearted will not get the work done.
I wish you peace,in the Lord.

This scripture has been a real inspiration to me, take it to heart mark your bible and read it often:
Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
I want you to be assured of His continued promise:
v14: I will be found by you, says the Lord.......
Your time never runs out, we just pick up and begin again, God Bless

First of all, God will never shut the door on you.
Second, maybe the church you are going to is not the right one for you, maybe you should try other churches.
Ask and you shall recieve, seek and you will find.
God be with you and I hope you get your feeling back again. I will be praying for you.
Love, sincerely, Juanita

Trust me...God would never turn His back on you! He loves you unconditionally. How wonderful is that. Sounds like either you need to find another Church that is more spiritual for your needs, or maybe your heart really isn't in it. I hope it's not the latter.
Maybe God is testing you to see just how important it is to you to teach. Or maybe that's not what He wants for you. Just pray about it. Your answer will come. Be still and know He is God!!!

One of the best things anyone has ever told me was "God is still God no matter what happens or how we feel." That has gotten me through so much in life.
In your case, I can't say if God's calling for you is to teach or not, but if it is, then God will bless it and you will teach. If not, then that only means God has another calling for you. It is not something that you can run away from or ruin. Remember God is still God, and His plan is still the same. He does not shut the door. Sometimes we do, but we can still go back and open it to Him again. As long as you are still alive, your time has not run out.
