Sweetie I went through the same thing. It's just a scary time. You find someone that you really enjoy being with and possibly love and youre afraid of losing it b/c of distance. I've been with my boyfriend for over 5 years now and we've done the going off to school then coming back, etc. thing and it all worked out just fine! The important thing is that you are honest with one another and you keep the communication lines open! It's either meant to be or its not...one way or another you'll find out. Don't stress...itll all be ok!

the problem is that 9 times out of 10 he is just as insecure as you are and his biggest fear is to lose you. have you ever asked him if he was the same as you that his heart was broken so badly that the scars are so fresh he doesn't want to go there again? i'm pretty sure at some point of his life some one left him for someone else or he saw something similar to that in his family. dig deep and you will find the cause of this problem.

Maybe he just thinks that because you will be going back home and that will turn into a long distance relationship, which never works, in my opinion. He is probably just as afraid of losing you as you are of him. Talk to him about it and maybe you can get things sorted out before school is over.

It means that he's insecure, that he's afraid you will, reassure him but don't make a habit of it. Tell him straight out that you don't know what tomorrow will bring but for now your plans include him. Both of you need to communicate more with each other about your dreams, your futures, your plans, your ambitions. The more you know each other the more secure you will both be with the love you feel.

He's insecure at this point so what you have to do is just tell him straight that you have no intention of leaving him, that he's the one for you because that is how you feel. He might believe you if you tell him. If however he doesn't get over his insecurities the relationship might not last.

He's probably feeling insecure about either himself or the relationship.
Just assure him of how much you love him and would leave him.
Actions always speak louder than words...show him that u will never leave him

He thinks that u might find someone better than him. Some guys just have that feeling because they love you and they just want to lose someone special.

It means he's insecure about being in a relationship with you. It's obvious that you both doubt each other's staying power. Confront these issues with him and figure out if it's worth working out.

ah gosh. there is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, in any relationship anwhere in the world a chance that someone can fall out of love, or find something better. no one is perfect, so you have to understand there is better than you, better than him, better than me. thats life and the nature of it, but it all depends on what you want. if you truly WANT that person, than it wont matter
