Children will in their own way be getting enough. With kids you go on what they eat over a week not daily. Try giving a vitamin supplement as sometimes this will encourage your child to eat. All you can do is offer, there is no point in getting upset with your daughter as it could just make it worse. My son is turning 5 and he is the same, some days he will eat but most he wont. Be strong and persistant. Once you do find something that she will eat make sure you always have some in the cupboard or fridge as a backup plan to what else you try and give her.
GOOD LUCK

i'm an early formative years academic instructor. we've lots of children which have struggled with this difficulty. it can sound "propose" yet you're the ascertain and also you may take administration. once you enable your baby to not eat, you're permitting your baby to be on excellent of issues and the older they get your difficulty will really enhance. you may supply your baby really 2 possibilities. you may be agency. it will be problematic and take a even as even though it receives better I promise. when you're making hen nuggets and eco-friendly beans for lunch for example continually positioned the nutrients down first. do not supply them their milk till they have both complete there plate or are about 1/2 way complete. in the journey that they commence to fuss enable your baby keep in mind that they want to eat. Say that some cases. in the journey that they proceed to wrestle then you definitely discover your 2 possibilities. for example " you've 2 possibilities, you may both eat your lunch and then have some milk or you may or you would nicely be hungry?" Sounds harsh at the start yet they'll finally end up hungry and hit upon the thanks to cooperate. would bypass over a meal or 2 yet when she isn't ingesting already you've not some thing to free. i'd propose observing "Nanny 911" She makes use of similar recommendations. reliable good fortune

I would take her to the doctor. My daughter wouldn't eat either when she was little. We took her to the doctor and they finally ended up putting a feeding tube in. When she was 4 she weighed 28 lbs. She finally started gaining weight and only had to have the tube for about 2 years. She is 14 now and tall and slender and very healthy. You can try giving her Pediasure. If she will drink it then it should help her gain weight. But if she won't take in enough calories by mouth then you won't be able to force her.

Most kids will not starve themselves. But some kids will. If you daughter is refusing to eat, then you need to take her to the doctor.

Be prepared to experiment (without tiring yourself out).

Find out what she likes and give foods and juices at set times (healthy foods) but note: she may not have any perferences or may like only one thing.

Also she may well be going thru 'a phase'.

My son's doctor advice was "you choose the food, s/he choose the amount" and make sure 'your' choices include a healthy variety so if and when she does become an 'eater' she'll be accustomed to what a balanced diet should look like.

My boyfriends daughter is the same way. Just make her stay at the table and not get up. If she gets up and does not eat, make her go to bed. That way she knows if she wants to do anything other than go to bed, she will eat her food. But dont give in if she starts crying. You are the parent and if she starts crying, make her sit there, spank her. and tell her that she has to eat. If you give into your children everytime they cry...you are going to be in a lot of trouble one day

Whenever my kids would stop eating and become thin, they would grow and grow. When they stopped growing, they would start eating again. It was just normal growth routines for us. It happened all through their lives - every time they grew. When they started getting picky, I would start looking for jeans / shirts on sale.

Whatever you do, don't use food as a punishment or a reward. That's how parents give their kids eating disorders. First thing get her a checkup with doc. 2nd, she will eat when she's hungry. 3rd just make sure you give her vitamins if you are really worried.

I would say call your doctor and make sure there is nothing medically wrong that keeps her from wanting to eat. Does she say her stomach hurts or anything? (Plus, on the safe side for these days, you'll have it documented in case anyone ever accuses you of starving her).

There might be something medically wrong with her so you should send her to a doctor or her pediatrician to see what is wrong. She could also be going through a phase, and if so, she will snap out of it before it is too late.

Have you tried letting her help you make a meal? Or making a meal that is fun? Sometime when kids can interact with you or when their food resembles something cute and fun, than they get an interest.
