there is this guy who bartends at the corner bar,i go there about once or twice a month.he is freinds with a friend of mine.the first night i met him the mutual freind said "i think you two should exchange phone numbers" since we seemed to hit it off, so i gave him my card(i am a hairdresser)i heard someone in the background say"what about your girlfriend?" he said he did not have one,and said"what if i dont need a haircut and i just want to call you?' so i gave him my number also.that night i went back to the mutual friends house and he heard i was there and came over also.i crashed on the couch and him on the floor.he drove me to my car the next morning.i left it casual.he never called.but whenever i go in there he says hi right away and gives me free drinks and gets upset when other guys talk to me.once when i was leaving he yelled"i love you"but i kept walking out.my assumption is he has a girlfriend but is interested in me,but does not want to makea movebecausehe has a girlfriend?

I think it depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a SERIOUS relationship, then this has already started out with mind games (so don't bother - consider it a clue). If you're looking for a good time and more free drinks, then keep it going.

If you have to ask "Should I stay away from him?" Safe answer is..."Yes you do." I don't know how old you are but he sounds like a freak. Keep walking and find a new place to hang out. You can't "love" someone you haven't even dated. If there is a girlfriend involved definetly keep on walking. It isn't worth your time.

He sounds like a player. He has your number but doesn't call you is a good clue. He gives you free drinks so that maybe when he gets off work he can pay you a visit.

If he has a GF why would you want him to make a move? That doesn't make any sense. If he was really that interested in you-he would have dumped her by now and made a move. He sounds either like a player or a flirt.

You are probably right in your assessment that he likes you but has a girlfriend. Knowing that, I say you don't fixate on him and continue looking for someone else. In the meantime, enjoy the free drinks and flirtation.

your mutual friend should investigate for you.
They'll know wwhats going on in his life. If its found out he's single, then youll have another descion to make.
If he's got someone. then move on.
But the mutual friend should be your P.I.

The mutual friend should know if he is taken or not? But, bartenders are nothing but players.

My assumption is that this bartender is a real jerk!Think about it if he can do this to his girlfriend he will also do it to you!The choice is yours but you could likely do alot better.

if i were you, until you are sure of that he doesn't have a gf, i would stay away from him because i wouldn't wanna be the third person who breaks up a relationship... and plus, he doesn't sound too legit.

yes, stay away from him. he sounds like the agressive type when it comes to you talking to other guys. And think about it, he doesn't really love you.
