It depends on yourself and how you take the initiative about it. Since you're asking this question it's going to take time, but you shouldn't mope around and let time pass by though. You should call a couple of your buddies and go out. Sometimes meeting new people rebuilds your self-esteem to be at an enviornment your comfortable at. Try having some fun for a change and in time you'll forget about her, but the most important thing is to be strong for yourself.

Keep busy. If you work, try picking up more shifts. Get a new hobbie. Hang out with friends. The more busy you can be, the less you'll think about her. If you still have pictures or anything that reminds you of her, put them away in a bow and put it in the closet out of sight. I can't say how long it will take before you start to feel better, but it will happen. One day you'll wake up and feel a lot better about the situation. Good luck!!

Their is no real way to get over your ex. So I would just let time pass and try to be as busy as possible in the meanwhile.

I am married and I hope I never get divorced when your with someone for so long and share things and poor out your heart to them it has to hurt and i would be hurting too. But you need to try to move on. Trust me your heart will heal and you will find someone else when you are ready. You will always have the memories they dont fade but you need to just move on and live a happy life.

If your heart is truly that scorned this will take some time and you will have to re-find yourself. You can do this through gradually dating (for fun, not to re-place your gf), taking up a new hobby, and most importantly learning to let go and enjoying your life again...

Time heals all. Feels like your heart has a constant ache in it. But it does get easier each day. Go one with your life. Do something spontaneous like my son told me to do. Spice up your life do something totally not you.

A ladder may help to get over her. How big is she?

Seriously, get a hobby, how about volunteer your time to a charity or local zoo.
