So what diamond? And did you take an online test because those are inaccurate. At 14 my IQ was 135 and I'm a satanist (which is atheistic).

Logically, if you believe in myths you are less intelligent.

I don't need a harvard study to prove that.

And from all of the brilliant IQs found above, you can also conclude that the majority are not just less intelligent, but liars.

Average Iq By Religion

2016-10-19 09:22:59 · answer #2 · answered by stepp 4 · 0 0

The attempt to use psychometric measures of intelligence, such as the IQ test may be criticized. Some scientists object to the idea that intelligence is a single, measurable characteristic; others object to the use of specific tests. As such, any studies about intelligence tend to be controversial.

Studies focusing on correlations between religiosity and other socioeconomic factors, such as higher education or interest in science, are not reliable to predict a relationship between religion and intelligence, even if it is assumed that these factors are typically associated with intelligence. Correlation is not transitive: that is, even if A is correlated with B, and B is correlated with C, you cannot draw the conclusion that A is correlated with C. It requires a separate set of data to establish that correlation.

Some of the studies primarily deal with unmarried high-school and university students, and other studies show people become more religious after marriage and children [11]. A recent Gallup International survey indicates this is international [12]. It showed that levels of atheism decline after age 30 while self-description as "a religious person" rises.

Studies of religiousness and intelligence have been predominantly performed in the U.S., which is not necessarily representative of other populations. The USA has, for example, a higher level of religiosity than other developed nations

Maybe you shoud do a little more research - it is widely viewed that the correlations currently being performed are invalid as they do not take into factor many variables.

But, in the long run, human intelligence as compared to an all knowing God is as nothing. Faith in God does not require intelligence, but it also does not disallow it. Christianity is for all people of all races, I.Q.'s, etc.

By the way, I am a Christian and have a fairly high I.Q. I personally don't believe in most I.Q. tests because they do not take into account socio/economic factors.

is this a real learn: CNN learn shows Liberals have bigger IQ's than Conservatives? feels like an identical biased crap one might pay attention from somebody stating that "it particularly is been shown" that white people have a extra robust IQ then black people. Satoshi Kanazawa Is a liberal and he's an atheist. So it is not surprising that Satoshi Kanazawa might state such biased elitist rubbish whilst talking of the psychological transformations between liberals and conservatives, whilst he applies this comparable concept to race as nicely. He has been accused of marketing racial stereotypes that some might call racist. What do you call somebody who promotes psychological stereotyping and psychological superiority of one team of people over the different? Conservatives symbolize the different area of the coin that the left would not symbolize .

Yes,and what's your point ? I am a Christian, and my I.Q is most definitely above 98.Besides that, you haven't even bothered to say where you got these figures from or even provide a reference other than just saying 'Harvard'.

And I don't see why,Rutilis, you have the right to question other people's words (like diamond) when you won't even provide a source for the statistics. For all we know, you may be lying about your I.Q as well!

And now you're questiong unknown-perfect too.Well,it's obvious already what kind of person you are, especially with your 'South African comment'.

Gosh, there you go again. How do you know that these people have done online tests? Why do you assume that? Oh,I see why:you don't want to admit that a religious person could be smart.

Cite the source, The numbers you list aren't even averages for the general population.

If you're a satanist.... you're not an atheist. Based on that statement alone I have serious doubts regarding the voracity of your claims.

{edit} I just finished a literature search of all published Harvard studies. The only two studies that I found regarding IQ and religion was a study designed to determine who would develop Alzheimer's disease, which failed to show a correlation; and a study that tried to find a correlation between IQ and multiple social factors and failed to show any correlation with IQ and social factors.

Please cite your source, otherwise I'll lump this into the "an atheist who is so insecure in their beliefs that they have to make stuff up" pile.

I'm a Christian and my IQ is 152.... I'm also South African.. Which begs the question, am I above average, or are South Africans just more intelligent? Win-Win situation :)

BTW.. On average the majority of people are Muslims and Christians, the minority are Atheists. Logically the average of the minority will be higher than that of the majority..

Edit: Your just making this up as you go along, and FYI I am a Mensa member... Valid IQ

to bad you did not give a link to the study. By the way, insulting peoples' intelligence is not a good way to begin their education.

I'm a Christian, and it's nobody's business what my IQ is...I'd be smarter than the smartest atheist if all I could do is write my name in BLOCK letters, but KNOW JESUS as my Lord and Saviour! It's called TRUE eternal smarts!

I was tested in elementary school (and got into the gifted program) and again in high school (for a college study).

I had an IQ of 138 and 139 respectively.

I am an Atheist. :)

Oh...and the schools were Brookside Elementary and East Jessamine High School in Nicholasville, KY....I went to Warner Elementary for the Discovery Program (gifted) in the 5th grade (with the 3rd highest IQ in the state for the people who took the exam.).

Just FYI to the "so-called" geniuses and those who think Atheists aren't intelligent.
