I know this must upset you,but if he is that way the child is better off. I had children before marriage with no help from their father, and they turned out fine and are better off. I met a great guy who loves them like a father and I have two other children with him. He is a wonderful Father. I don't want the other buthead involved because he would only bring iritation to their lives they are ok with it too, they could care less because their biological Father could care less and they knoe that I am honest about it with them. Don't sweat him, honestly he will be the one missing out.

Leave it be! You have to ask yourself - is it worth the fight? Is it worth the posibility that my child sees me fighting with her father or screaming at her father? If you can do without his help than you should do so. Even possibly think of other alternatives that fit in your budget. No fight is worth making your child feel bad or angry towards the other. No matter how bad a parent the other is, it is never good to allow your child to see you fight. The effects are bad down the line. Be the bigger person! Another alternative is to ask family or friends to help in the contribution of the expenses (as a gift to her).

I would have a party anyway. My daughter is turning three January 2 and my husband/her daddy wasn't interested in her first two birthdays but this year he'll be more involved. Good luck.

Sounds like your significant other has some growing up to do, and possibly you too, considering there's two sides to every story. I'm guessing you're having female friends with children of their own over, and he doesn't like those female friends for whatever reason. You need to find out WHY he doesn't like them and WHY he feels it necessary to ruin the day of your daughter over petty squabbles.

Domestic Relations - at your county office will give you how much he makes and how much you need to receive in child support.

Good luck, and if you don't file you won't receive enough.

Stop and think as you do this for your child before you baby's father gets involved with another girlfriend and then there's less money for your child!

What is your choices? 1) let it be or 2) kick him to the curb. Personally, I'd be picking option number 2.

Get a new man who has the capacity of acting like an adult and not a twelve year old.

Tell him its not for your friends its for her friends/family.Its a celebration for the child to have fun and celebrate a new year in her life.
It truely sounds to me though that he is just being cheap and or spitful.
I hope the outcome is a good for you and your lil princess.

he probably just thinks you want his money to buy stuff that would benefit yourself and your friends, not your girl and her friends. Tell him it's for your daughter and her happiness and it has nothing to do with you. (If that's the case)
