To me, from an outside perspective, I can't think of too many examples in which an organized religion has really promoted female equality. Maybe, Epsicopalians, because they support the ordination of women....

Just look at the Baptists, who have openly come out against having female preachers.

Look at the Muslim community, and Amish Communities where women have to wear veils.

Do you think the Dali Lama would ever be a woman? Even Scientology is focused around a guy. Muhammed, Jesus, and Moses were all men, no surprise there. Do you think an orgainzed religion would ever be focused around a woman?

So women, my question is this. Why do you put up with these stupid religions that seem to be so focused on keeping you one step behind men?

Here is an exerpt from an article and I have included the web site for the full article information:

The apostle Paul describes the family headship arrangement: “The head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.” (1 Corinthians 11:3) Every individual except God submits to a higher authority. Does the fact that Jesus has a head mean that he is being discriminated against? Of course not! The fact that men Scripturally have been assigned to take the lead in the congregation and the family does not mean that women are being discriminated against. To prosper, both the family and the congregation need women and men to play their respective roles with love and respect.—Ephesians 5:21-25, 28, 29, 33.

As the article shows Jesus did not discriminate against women either. Psalms 68:11 11 Jehovah himself gives the saying;
The women telling the good news are a large army.

There is a spiritual path that not only recognized the equality of women but deifies the gender equally with men. And what might that be?

Wicca.

I don't put up with the monotheist patriarchal BS. Women are vital. They're necessary. They are, without question, equal. Consequently, I am Wiccan and very happy to be such.

purely because women everybody is dealt with otherwise doesn't recommend they lack equality. adult adult males and females everybody is diverse bodily and mentally, such a good number of faiths also finish they're diverse spiritually. Methodism typically ordains women people, as do many stripes of Lutherans and Presbyterians, and the second one-best Baptist crew, the yank Baptist convention. in a good number of denominations ordination to a position as an elder may be restricted to adult males yet this does not represent a lack of potential, purely a huge difference of position. contained in the Christian church homes in North u.s. the club is overwhelmingly woman. in a good number of denominations, the congregations are in a good number of cases predominantly woman. Christians in a good number of cases assert that their Triune God is neither male nor woman (Mormons assert that they have got one among each and each and every, yet purely the male is a member of the Godhead.) traditionally the Christian Holy Spirit is taken into consideration as embodying the female even as the son Jesus embodies the male. Hindus have woman deities. A really woman faith? not in Western lifestyle.

The Bible teaches that the women is below the man. I am to submit to my own husband. Had Eve submitted to Adam we wouldn't be in this predicament. She choose to listen to a lie.

some women are very weak and require a leader because they don't have the sense to stand on their own and most usually worry about what others think of them so in turn they live to please others.
