I have grave concerns over the validity of a study that suggest what you are saying is true. While there is some fact to the issue that having sex during pregnancy does help keep the uterous in shape for the birthing process and the movement stimulates the fetus, I doubt very seriously any study that suggests a pregnant female should have multiple partners to insure a healthy child.
There is NO direct coorrelation between what the multiple partners could 'leave behind' that would have any greater affect on the what a single father of the child would 'leave behind'.
I suggest you re-read this so called study and verify the facts. I think you've been conned.
Good luck!

As a woman who has experienced 8 pregnancies (7 with my husband of 35 years), NO I WOULD NOT HAVE MULTIPLE PARTNERS. The baby's health depends on what the mother eats, and her intake of drugs, alcohol, and her habit of smoking without introducing an STD a non-father could be carrying.
The baby is too protected for sperm to reach it after implantation.
". . .Your baby is fully protected by the amniotic sac (a thin-walled bag that holds the fetus and surrounding fluid) and the strong muscles of the uterus. There's also a thick mucus plug that seals the cervix and helps guard against infection. The penis does not come into contact with the fetus during sex."
Although the baby is protected in the uterus, the baby CAN contract a Sexually Transmitted Disease the mother may have in the birth canal (vagina) during a normal birth (no C-section).
ALSO
"WHEN IT IS NOT SAFE (to have sex during pregnancy)
. . .You should not have sex with a partner whose sexual history is unknown to you or who may have a sexually transmitted disease, such as herpes, genital warts, chlamydia, or HIV. If you become infected, the disease may be transmitted to your baby, with potentially dangerous consequences. . ."
If you are pregnant, PLEASE TAKE THESE QUESTIONS TO HIM/HER! The above quotations are from the source shown below.

First off, you wouldn't be able to "prove" that multiple partners leads to a healthy baby. How do you study the sexual habits of pregnant people? Do you just ask them, "How many sexual partners have you had during your pregnancy?" It doesn't make any sense. Plus, with all the lovin' going on, wouldn't there be a risk of a miscarriage to the baby considering all that the mother is going through?

are you trying to break the marriage before the birth of a child. For a healthy baby mum should be healthy and happy and dad should help the mother in every small and big things. A happy family brings a healthy baby not multiple partners.

That's completely crazy. I'm a Prenatal Nutrition counsellor and that is absolutely not true. Healthy babies have nothing to do with sex after baby is conceived. You would be more likely to get an STD if you were to do this, which could hurt you and baby.

What the hell kind of study is this? No! You never know what diseases a guy is bringing our how clean he is! It IS possible to lie about these things. Also, after hitting 6 months, it is actually dangerous to have sex as it can induce labor.
I bet this study was done by a bunch of frat guys with a weird pregnancy fetish.

Sorry, this is just wrong. I am sure that you can't name the study, or who did it for the simple reason that no such study exists.
I don't know if you are pregnant and have been told this by someone who wants to have sex with you, or you just made this up, but there isn't any basis for this.
