I`m sure there are reasons why this won`t work I`m really not up on my history of U.S.& Mexico.BUT Why can`t we help mexico make Mexico a better place to live where citizens can prosper and stay there. I think they only come here to make a decent living. It might cost the US some money but this problem is not going to go away ever and cost to much to so called secure the border that we will never comlpletely be able to do.I don`t mean move our jobs there I mean help them build their economy up to be able to supply jobs for themselves. I`m sure if it were this easy this would have been mentioned by now .I admitt I am ignorant to this subject so enlighten me why we can`t do this

it shows you are thinking about a major issue. Who will pay to make their country into a good economy? I the average tax payer can't afford what is allready coming out of my check and if we took on your project they would have to increase my taxes.

The reason we can't do it is because Mexico's government is corrupt. We could give them $2 million dollars to fix the country up, and the people in positions of power would use the money to add swimming pools to their houses or something. The lower class citizens would never receive any help.

Mexico has got the money to help its own poor, they they would rather we the U S A, did it for them. Mexico is the richest country in Latin America, and 13 th world wide, so you see the $$$$$$$ are there. In Mexico the upper 54 % are doing ok, or better, and 46 % are poor.

The average IQ of Mexicans is 87. There probably isn't anything we can do to make their economy as successful as ours.
But more importantly, why should we spend one penny of American money to help Mexico when we have so many problems in the USA to worry about first? Isn't that unfair to hard working Americans?
By the way, Mexicans are better off economically than almost every other hispanic country. So unless you think there is a magical way to make their economy EVEN BETTER than the USA, your strategy won't even cause them to return to Mexico.

It hasn't helped yet! We've already given them millions, Their government is very corrupt, from the top to the bottom. They basically just pocket it. I don't think too many of us have a problem with legal immigration, it's just the illegals that drain our resources. Now that terrorist cells have been established there, illegals are potentially dangerous as well.
