ok.. if im doing squats for example.... is it good to do like 500?
and pushups is it good to do like sets of 100 (in a row) and situps 500 in a row..... ect... allot of reps for excersizes
i hear people say that its pointless to do that because it doesnt work
but i think about it and wonder how on earth it doesnt work...
your overusing the muslce.. theres no way its not gonna get bigger/stronger.....
i dont know for sure so thats why im asking

500!?! No!

Repetitive motion problems will cause you pain later in life.

For building muscle the recommendation is to pick a weight that is heavy enough that you can't do 7 reps with it, but which you can do at least 4 reps with. If 500 reps on squats worked then you could build massive muscles just by walking up and down stairs all day.
