Well, I hope you have researched Huskies in general. They are beautiful dogs but can be quite a handful, probably because they were bred for hard work. They tend to have an over-abundance of energy all the time and need a way to work it off every single day. Be prepared for long runs and walks...and lots of playing!
If you are really serious about it, try http://www.petfinder.com/. Just put in you location and check out all the dogs that need rescued by you..

The breed you are looking for is a Siberian Husky. Malamutes look similaer, but are bigger and always have dark eyes.
Many people mentioned the heat, and that could be a problem, but more important is the dogs temperment. Sibes can be very difficult to handle. They are very smart, and independant. They get into lots of things in the home, and are smart enough to figure out how to open doors. While they are plenty smart enough to easily train, their stubborn streak can be a real pain! They tend to have a very high prey drive, and rarely do well with cats and other small pets. They are escape artist, that need a very good fence. Once loose, they run like mad, and could be many miles from home before they look up. They also "blow coat" twice a year, which is a tremdous mess. I honestly know people who get enough fur to make sweaters! Please, PLEASE, do alot of research before deciding this breed is for you! They can be such wonderful companions, but too often owners turn them into rescues because they were not prepared. I have actually heard former owners claim their Sibes were demonic! If you do decide this is the breed for you, please look at rescues and shelters to find your dog. I promise, there are plenty to choose from!

Having a husky in Florida is kinda mean. The dog is always going to be hot. Why not look at other breeds? Australian shepards(or mixes of them) can have blue eyes, also many husky mixes have blue eyes without all the fur. Check out your local shelters. I doubt there are a whole lot of husky breeders in that area, however you can check www.akc.org for a list of breeders that are registered within your area.

I have a six year old sibe and she has the bluest eyes. Her name is Leishka. I gave her a Russian name because she was Siberian. I know that there are husky rescue places in Tenn. that have beautiful huskies that need homes. Try looking for a sled dog rescue place on the internet.

There are two different breeds that people consider the "husky" type...one IS the Husky the other is the Alaskan Malamute. Go to AKC.org and do research on the different breeds, then use the breeder referral and locate a breeder in your area...remember that you get what you pay for.

Living in Florida, I suggest you get a husky mix. Huskies are generally long coated dogs, so you should look for some short coated mixes.

i could distinctly not recommend this breed no rely if it is your first dogs and in case you're actually not an experienced proprietor. they have dissimilar potential and choose a minimum of one million hour and a one million/2 (usually extra) of exercising every day, and it is going to not be merely strolling ( they choose extra desirable than merely strolling). additionally they choose psychological stimulation, in case you do not provide sufficient psychological and actual exertion to a husky it is going to rapidly improve habit problems ie: barking, digging, howling, etc. they don't seem to be undemanding to coach and shed a heck of lots. in case you somewhat want a dogs seek for a extra valuable option, there are dissimilar different large dogs obtainable that would slot in lots extra valuable in view which you have on no account had one till now. dissimilar green human beings merely purchase huskies with the aid of fact of their seems and the husky finally ends up having to be rehomed with the aid of fact they did not be attentive to the thank you to deal with it. wish you're making the wonderful determination :)
