I need help!... I'm lucky to have a boyfriend who's birthday is on the 24th of December =o/ He'll be 35, I would like to get him something nice and meaningful, not just anything to get it out of the way. Every year when the time comes around I ask him what he wants and he says "no gifts", he doesnt like to receive gifts and love to give him things. I dont like to give presents unless they're meaningful, specially to the love of my life. We've been together for 2 years and 4 months, we spend a lot of time together, he's kind of conservative, doesnt like sports that much, he likes metal (rock) (i don't like that kind of music) he also likes jazz. I dont know what to get him, I just want it to be something really special...he's the kind of guy who likes beer but also likes wine...he's spontaneous, we do things on the spur of the moment; he likes laptops, riding his harley, flying. ::sighs:: help please

Whenever I'm in that situation (for anyone, not just boyfriends) I make a list of everything they like to do. Try to be as specific as possible. As you're making the list you might start to come up with some possible ideas. My new-ish boyfriend (who buys everything he wants and is consequently extremely difficult to shop for) just had a birthday and I did the same thing for him. The list was ridiculously long, but I ended up buying him season 1 of Stella, an incredibly stupid sitcom that lasted only 10 episodes. Anyway, he absolutely loved it. He said that it was one of the most thoughtful gifts anyone had ever bought him and that he wouldn't even have thought of buying himself that. So give it a try-- maybe you'll come up with the perfect gift! Good luck!

The only thing I could come up with for my guy who sounds like yours... was a gift certificate at the local Harley shop and a cd of his favorite jazz player. He loved it and was able to buy a few things for his bike (his second love..lol).
