As of right now, it probably won't happen. If he is indeed only a few months old he has not matured enough to father kittens. Your female cat is in heat b/c there is a male around her, and he is just trying to show dominance. In due time; however, he will be mature enough so if you are looking to prevent kittens then i would have him fixed when he is around 6 months old.

If you don't get them fixed, then they will end up mating. Your male may be too young to be sexually mature, but it's only another month or two until he'll be ready also.
Please be a responsible pet owner and get both of your cats fixed. This will reduce aggression and wandering in the male and protect your female from several common cancers. And best of all, there won't be more kittens needing homes when there are already millions in shelters waiting to be adopted.

he's maximum possibly not sexually mature yet, yet he would be quickly. maximum vets recommend spaying/neutering at 6 months. confident, an older cat can get pregnant by making use of a youthful cat, particularly in view that 3 yrs continues to be particularly youthful. She nevertheless has lots of warmth cycles to guard. edit: I believe the poster who reported decreased probability of maximum cancers on your lady. Spaying thoroughly eliminates the possibility of uterine and ovarian cancers and each passing warmth cycle will advance her probabilities of having mammary tumors later in existence. Neutering will stop your male from spraying, which he will start to do whilst he reaches sexual adulthood. it is going to smell undesirable and is possibly to be throughout your place if he's interior-merely (which he could be). so some distance as being candy and cuddly.... you have long handed by using warmth cycles with your cat till now and you be attentive to how she acts collectively as she's in warmth extra valuable than every physique else. in my view, my cat had her first warmth cycle at 5 months, and he or she became into stressful as hell and it did not look an extremely gentle technique for her. She cried all night long, it became into like she had an itch that she could not get to and it became into making use of her insane.

It's time for both your girl and boy kitty to be altered!! For the health of both kittens. If your girl is in heat and being mounted by your boy, he'll impregnate her. And, I imagine your yard is filling with Toms who smell your girl's heat. Given other Tom's visiting in the territory of your male (I am presuming your kittens are indoor cats only) even if they are outside, your male may start spraying to mark what he considers is his territory. You're looking a mess of complications. Call your vet and make an appointment for neuter and spay asap. You'll be happy you did...I promise.

Puberty in a male cat, called a tom cat, sets in at 6 to 8 months of age when he is able to fertilize a female cat.
If they are not spayed and neutered.....get them done asap.

You need to neuter your pets!!! She could be pregnant already! Make an appointment for them to get spayed and castrated!! Don't wait or you will have a bunch of kittens on your hands..there are already way too many unwanted pets in this world and we don't need to add to the pet overpopulation problem. Be a responsible pet owner...and neuter your pets.

You need to have your cats neutered-- both of them. If you are broke take them to a low-cost vet who will give them their vaccinations and neuter them. They will live longer, happier, healthier lives that way.
(By the way-- they are already in the process of mating. Take them to the vet asap!)
