but hey I wanna know if God has given any ppl a good singing voice or does he want us to practice, I wanna do many different types of work (evangilize, missionary, preach) I wanna help this lost world and I have a great burden for todays youth and I wanna start a christian rock band shud I pray for a better singing voice(Im ok) or is this one of those cases where God helps those who help themselves(btw Im oneness Apostolic)

Pray instead for God to help you realize the gift he has given you so you can use it! He blesses us all with something :-)
The gift I wanted and the gift I got are not the same...but thats God. He also told me He wouldn't show me how to have power over it until I got some things right in my life. I love God! He is such a good Father

Being a good singer is not necessarily just having a good voice. A person might have the most beautiful voice and be a bad singer. A person with average voice can become a wonderful singer if he or she works hard and put a lot of heart in his or her music. That singer still might not have the best voice in the world, but because he pours his heart into his music, never mind gospel or any other kind, that singer will get through to people.
God can help you become a good singer. But remember that God did not promise you an easy flight.
As far as saving the lost world be very careful how you go about it. If you are pushing your own views or your own religious believes on somebody too hard, it is the lost cause. If you lead by example and do your work through love towards humankind you will probably do a lot better.
Yes, it is a very hard responsibility for the one who is so young. But if you feel it is your destiny, go for it. And if you pray for a better singing voice, it is great. A little prayer will never hurt anybody.

God gived people the gifts that are right for them. It is evident that you play guitar, but you may not have the perfect singing voice. Maybe you should pray about what to do. But if you want my suggestion, you should rock out on your guitar for God, and leave the singing to a singer. You probably shouldn't pray for a better singing voice. Today in my Bible study, we discussed praying for selfish desires (James Chapter 5). If you only want a better voice so you can perform in front of the church, then it is considered a selfish desire, b/c you want attention (even if you don't think so). And keep in mind, I feel for ya! I am a really good signer, but I can't play an instument to save my life. If you want a better voice, you could try singing lessons, but keep in mind that God gives people the gifts they were meant to receive.

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.
Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

what did Jesus do?
He taught people about God.
How? By talking to them.
He spoke with authority to all the people. There is no where in the bible where it say part of teaching is singing. Now we are to lift up our voices and sing praises to God individually.
But I think you are praying for the wrong thing. Pray that when you speak to the youth you can reach there heart.

YES!! But it takes lots of practice as any singer can tell you, I sing southern gospel and somedays I have to sing a certain song so many times I get so tired, But the more you practice the better you get...and yes always pray to do better,

We've all been given certain gifts and talents to be used for the kingdom--so work with the ones you have first and God will broaden them as you continue to serve Him. He knows your heart and as long as you are making a joyful noise--he is pleased.

Why are you asking people? You should ask God yourself! If he responds, than I guess he will grant special abilities and talents you dont have. Im pretty skeptical, though.
